Lost in Randomis like aDouble Finegame they never made crossed with something akin to a Tim Burton film. It has a lot ofPsychonautsvibes to it from the character designsto the gameplay.Lost in Randomis one of the most unique games of 2021 but that does not necessarily mean it is one of the year’s greatest.

Reviews are generally positive for thisEA Originalsgame. There are also a few things that reviewers and fans can probably agree on that need fixing in the game. Some of these mechanical issues could be fixed with a patch in the near future. Other problems may require a bit more work inLost in Random.
8Voice Even During Dialogue Choices
The voice cast inLost in Randomis great. Nearly everything is voiced except one major character: Even. She talks during cutscenes and to herself while exploring the game but she is silentduring dialogue trees.
Players can choose what Even says but her response isn’t voiced. It seems like a daunting task to ask, but it would be nice if she was given a voice retroactively. The lip sync during these conversations could also use a touch-up.

7Two Map Adjustments
Maps are essentialin video games. There are two features that should be added in relation to the game’s map. The first is pinpointing where Even is in relation to everything else.
The map will show what region players are in but not exactly where Even is. This can make navigating troublesome. It would also be nice if the developers would add in a mini-map. These seem like small favors the developers can do for the player so hopefully, they can get patched in soon.

6Add A Manual Save
The only save option inLost in Randomis autosave. On one hand, this is nice because it saves the hassle of players having to remember to save. The checkpoint system then is rather good.

However, when quitting the game it’s hard to know what just saved and where players will pop back once loaded. It would be amazing if the game patched in the ability to save anywhere and at any time. That might be too much to ask so a save point should be a good compromise.
5Increase Run Speed
Even, and many of the other characters, have a wood-like quality to them. They look great but it seems like Even, in particular, is actually made out of lead. That’s because her movement speed is a little slow and cumbersome.
She’s not as agile as one would hope. Not even the running speed really boosts movement. Increasing the run speed would be a good first start. Adding in a jump button would be even grander for this non-platformer,platformer adventure game.

4Beef Up The Slingshot
Another movement issue inLost in Randomis with the slingshot. It’s not as snappy as it could be. Combining this with the slow aim speed makes hitting targets in battle a real hassle at times.
Early on in the game, it isn’t much of a problem as enemies aren’t that plentiful or threatening. The further one gets in the game then the more problematic this slingshot issue becomes. It could use a bit of a speed boost tweaking as well.

3Disable Subtitles Option
Most games that have subtitles allow players to turn them off or on in the options menu. There are some exceptions to likeKingdom Hearts. Subtitlesin that seriesare always turned on during cutscenes but they are off when running around in the world of theKingdom Heartsgames.

Lost in Randomhas them always on and it can be distracting when multiple subtitles stack up while running past NPCs. It would be great to see an off option added.
2Photo Mode
Many modern games include a photo mode at launch. Sometimes they get patched in after launch like in the case ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remake. That received a photo mode whenit got portedtoPS5but it still counts as a good example.
f that game can get it patched in after launch then it should be possible forLost in Randomtoo. It should be mentioned that there is no HUD inLost in Randomwhile exploring the world so it is easier to take screenshots on the PS5 without distractions. Seeing this game get an official photo mode would still be a plus though.

1Add Co-Op
Lost in Randomseemsperfect for co-op, or at least it seems like there is a way to add it in. After the initial hour or so, Even will be joined by Dicey. Dicey can be issued commands during gameplay such as standing on a switch or going to gather card gems. It even gets attack commands in battle via certain cards.
There must be some way to allow players to add in a friend to control Dicey even if they take out the option to attack. Having a friend control Dicey just to distract enemies would be a plus too.
