One Marvel fan (FezVrasta) constructed Avengers Tower made entirely out of gingerbread. The two photos show off the impressive construction of the tower, complete with the landing deck forIron Man and the other high-flying Avengers. The artist baked the edible holiday treat before decorating it with vibrant shades of white and blue frosting to identify the massive Avengers landmark. The use of pale blue and white creates the authentic neon look of the Avengers Tower.

Originally known as Stark Tower, the name quickly changed following the Battle of New York. The assembled team of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, the Incredible Hulk, Hawkeye, and Thor helped defeat Loki and the army of Chitauri that brought a plague upon the city. The building was a crucial part ofThe Avengers, asClark Gregg’s Phil Coulsonapproaches Tony and Pepper there about the Avengers Initiative, and the final battle of the film revolves around it. It’s also the location of Tony and Scott Lang’s unfortunate time heist incident inAvengers: Endgame.

Like the creator of the gingerbread tower, recent Marvel projects have not forgotten about Avengers Tower. Despite happening over a decade ago for characters in the MCU, the Battle of New York continues to have an impact on the main MCU storyline. InSpider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man desperately attempted to stop Vulture and his crew from manufacturing dangerous weapons using items from the New York wreckage. In the most recent Disney Plus Marvel series,Hawkeyehas also mentioned the Avengers Tower. It traces Kate Bishop’s own origin story and obsession with Hawkeye back to the infamous Battle of New York. The Black Market auction attended by Jack Duquesne and his uncle Armand also features many items from the Avengers facilities including the Ronin suit and sword.

No matter how many years pass betweenthe original Avengersand the ever-expanding Marvel Universe, the Avengers Tower will always have a special place in the heart of the MCU. Its physical creation as well as the metaphorical embodiment of family and unity is a huge theme over the course of not only theAvengersfranchise but other Marvel productions. Fans haven’t forgotten about the importance behind Avengers Tower and because of this, neither will the MCU.
