Marvel’s Avengershas regularly received new content updates since its launch, with many of the updates consisting of new cosmetics for players to add to their collection. WhileMarvel’s Avengersat first deliberately avoided making its heroes look like their Marvel Cinematic Universe counterparts, it has since embraced the MCU’s popularity, adding a slew of skins to the game based on Marvel’s record-breaking film franchise.
The latest MCU-inspiredMarvel’s Avengersskin takes players back to the very beginning of the MCU. Based on the2008Iron Manmovie, the first-ever MCU film, the Marvel Studios' Iron Man Outfit will be available in the live-service game starting Thursday, September 23. The suit looks like the spitting-image of Iron Man as he appeared in theIron Manmovie, and based on the reaction online, it appears to have been warmly-received by fans of the game.

This new Iron Man suit joins the many others that are available inMarvel’s Avengers. Players are able to collect otherMCU-themed Iron Man suits, including one that mimics Iron Man’s appearance inAvengers: Endgame. However, this Iron Man skin being based on the character’s appearance in the original MCU movie should especially appeal to fans' nostalgia and may prove to be one of the more popular cosmetics in the game.
OtherMarvel’s Avengerscharacters have a variety of MCU skinsfor players to purchase as well, though there are still some MCU skins missing from the game. Assuming Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix keep supportingMarvel’s Avengerswith new cosmetic content, one has to imagine that all the most popular MCU looks for the playable characters will make their way to the game at some point down the line.
As it stands, Crystal Dynamics has already revealed its plans forMarvel’s Avengersfor the rest of 2021. TheMarvel’s Avengers2021 roadmapconfirms that players have their first Raid to look forward to, along with a power level cap increase, a new enemy type, and much more.
Arguably the biggest upcoming content update forMarvel’s Avengersis one that will be exclusive to PlayStation users.Spider-Man is coming toMarvel’s Avengersas a playable character before the year is out, and while that particular piece of content will be PS exclusive, fans can look forward to everything else coming to all platforms. This includes the 2008Iron Mansuit, which will be available starting September 23.
