While fans have suggested everyone from Professor X to X-23, one of the best possible cameos could come from Deadpool. If the Merc with a Mouth does show his hideously scarred face, then fans can absolutely expect a bit of a fight between him and Wolverine, as the two rarely cross paths without a bit of a scuffle.

A Deadpool Fight in Marvel’s Wolverine Could Highlight Logan’s Brutality
With amature tone promised forMarvel’s Wolverine, fans can only hope that this will extend to the game’s ESRB rating, as Logan is a hero that demands an M for Mature tag. The game’s combat leaning into the sharpness of his claws would surely lead to some bloody, visceral fights, and it is easy to imagine Logan decimating everyone in the bar from the game’s reveal trailer. However, a Deadpool fight could take things to the next level, upping the intensity in a major way.
Both Wolverine andDeadpoolhave extensive regeneration powers, something that a fight between the two characters could put on full display. Every slice from Logan’s claws could register on Deadpool, with players tearing the anti-hero’s suit to shreds. The same could be said for Deadpool’s swords and guns, with players able to see Wolverine shrugging off bullet holes and deep scars alike. The fight could push both to their limits, with Logan chopping off Deadpool’s arm only for Wade to reattach it and keep attacking.
The fight could be comparable toGod of War’s iconic Baldur and Kratos battle, a moment that is still remembered fondly by gamers to this day. More than any other boss encounter in the series, the fight truly felt like two gods battling it out, launching each other across the battlefield with a single punch. Wolverine vs. Deadpool has the potential to deliver that same exact feeling, going even further with its violence since the pair can heal from just about anything.
Whether it is Deadpool’s grenades doing so much damage to Logan that players can see his adamantium skeleton, or Wolverine literally chopping Wade to shreds, this battle is something that deserves to be featured in a video game. While it would be fun to see on the big screen one day, and their interactions in the comics have always been a joy to witness, such a fight could be made even better by controlling one of the two participants. With Logan knowing that Wade can bounce back from whatever he dishes out, he could let loose with hisBerserker Rage, leading to a finale that shows Logan’s dark side and keeps Wade down for a long while.
With2013’sDeadpoolgameseeing Wade slap Wolverine dozens of times, it would be fitting to see Logan get some revenge over a decade later. With Deadpool being such a popular character and one that has a deep relationship with Wolverine, an appearance from the X-Force member would be fitting. While it could be fun to see them team-up, or just have Deadpool used as a joke more than a threat, an all-out war between the two could easily become a defining moment for the game.
