One of the most popular memes in recent memory is tied to theFast and Furiousseries' obsession with family, andMass Effectfans have clearly gotten a good laugh out of it. However, oneMass Effectplayer has taken things to the next level.

It did not take long for theFast and Furiousmemes to invadeMass Effect. Shortly after the trend began, plenty of funny posts appeared, including one that sawShepard lifting the Mako. As is the case with the other memes, they usually make a mention of “family,” as Vin Diesel’s character Dom Toretto can often be heard talking about the topic. However, while simple memes are plenty of fun, a Reddit user named Tacosauce_96 took things to another level by creating a playable Dom Toretto.

Hilariously referring to Commander Shepard’s “crew” as “family,” Dom Shepard is quite a sight to behold. While it may not be possible to perfectly recreate the character inthe originalMass Effect, the fan does manage to capture the most iconic aspects of his appearance. Alongside a shiny bald head, dark eyebrows can be seen on the character. The nose and lips are also fairly accurate, ensuring that the player did a fine job with their version. While Shepard may not be able to get as muscular as Dom, everything else is either decent or spot-on.

As of now, it is unclear if the fan’s joke ends here or will continue later on. It is hard not to think about the possibilities of a “family playthrough,” though, with the player going through the game and trying to see how much they can make the word be said. They could also make choices that Dom would, something that would likely result in an equal mix ofParagon and Renegade decisions. Even if the meme does stop with this player-created character, though, it is impressive that this level of effort was put in for a family joke.

Unsurprisingly, those that look through the post can find some hilarious comments fromMass Effectfans. One player named Asha_Brea jokes about Shepard carrying a Corona beer instead of a pistol, a nod to the fact that almost every film in the series sees Dom drinking the beverage with his “family.” Tacosauce_96 had a great reply, adding that this version of Shepard likes to “live life at a quarter light-year at a time.” Other commenters alterMass Effectquotes or come up with some ridiculous sequel concepts that are on par with those seen in theFast and Furiousfranchise.

With theVin Diesel meme reaching other game communitiesas well, it has proven to be incredibly popular. While it will likely not be much longer before it dies off,Mass Effectplayers and many others have clearly had a good time with the joke.
