In the new YouTube video,Microsoft Flight Simulator’s lead designer, Damien Cuzacq talked about how the plane navigation systems work in-game. In order to make the flight navigation as realistic as possible, Asobo Studio has partnered with NAVBLUE, a flight software company. The game will use NAVBLUE’s data on restricted airspaces, waypoints, radio navigation systems, and localizers. To ensure that the game stays current, Asobo will update the in-game nav data every 28 days. This follows the real-life procedure for regulatory updates.
Asobo’s use of the NAVBLUE data definitely excited flight simulator fans.
