Although it’s known for its blocky visuals, it is possible to makeMinecraftlook gorgeous, as one fan proved by accurately and painstakingly recreating Yharnam fromBloodbornewith such detail that a cursory glance could convince someone it’s a retro recreation of the gothic action RPG. DeveloperFromSoftware is known for putting out difficult titles, and whileBloodbornemay not be the most punishing, it’s still up there in terms of being a challenge.
As for Mojang’s open-world sandbox title, it continues to delight millions around the world with its expansive landscape and near-infinite creative potential afforded to players. There are also plenty of mods to keep the game ever more fresh and exciting by adding new textures, tweaking the gameplay, or even creatingshaders that makeMinecraftlook like it’s from the Game Boy era. But it’s the incredible builds that fans show off that are the crux of the game’s popularity.

As spotted by The Gamer, Reddit user Parking_Price6980 has shown their love of bothMinecraftandBloodborneby recreating the city of Yharnam in incredible detail. A couple of images uploaded to the site show the immense amount of work and effort that’s gone into this phenomenal project. With some graphical tweaks to the game, most likely from texture packs and mods, it could almost be mistaken for a slightly retro version of the FromSoftware title. In fact, one Reddit user said that they thought it was a PS1 demake at first glance. The creator doesn’t mention how long it took them to build, but going off how accurate the recreation is to the original, it must have taken them a long time.

It’s also interesting that another user mentioned how Parking_Price6980’sMinecraftbuild looks like a demake, as there was an unofficialPS1-style reimagining ofBloodbornereleased last year. Developed by modder Lilith “b0tster” Walther, this demake took the original 2015 PS4 exclusive and turned the clock back several years, making it look like the game came out in the 90s.
It also shows how it’spossible to makeMinecraftlook incredibly detailed. While the vanilla visuals are what make the game so distinctive, there are evidently people out there who are interested in seeing what the Mojang title would look like with a modern facelift. The result is often pretty impressive, giving just one more reason for fans to keep playing.
