Kageyama Shiego, otherwise known as Mob, is the protagonist of theMob Pyscho 100series. Although he may not seem like the average teenager, Mob possesses hyper-developed telekinetic and psychic powers capable of destroying planets.
It was at a young age that he discovered that his powers were strongly linked to his emotions and feelings. Most of the time he tries his best to keep his emotions in control in order to avoid unleashing chaos on his surroundings.

Who is Shiego Kageyama?
As a middle school student, Mob wasn’t a very bright student and was scared to answer questions when ateacher approached him. He wasn’t very fit either and lacked stamina and muscle strength. This however changed after he joined the body improvement club, the members always pushed Mob to do his best and this motivated him to get better and stronger physically. This has a positive impact on him as the stronger he grew so did his psychic abilities.
When Mob was a child, he first witnessed his psychic powers in action which wasn’t so pleasant and this sealed his emotions away to control his psychic abilities. As seen throughout the series,he is unable to continuouslycontain his emotions and tends to explode after bottling up his emotions for long periods of time, unleashing his extremely powerful psychic abilities. Although Mob appears to be a timid and shy boy in the series, his psychic powers are phenomenal, and he is easily the most strongest esper in the series. Mob also believes in using his psychic powers only for good and not to hurt others, although he has less knowledge in combat his powerful psychic powers makes up for it as he is able to control almost everything. His immense power is seen during the ???Arc when he loosescontrol and destroys almost the entire city after being hit by a car while on his way to meet Tsubomi.
Psychic Powers And Abilities
Mob possesses a range of psychic abilities that makes him the powerful being he is in the series, this includes powers such as Telekinesis which he uses to levitate heavy items and create force fields for protection as well as to fly and increase his speed in battle. Mob is also able to drain energy from other psychics to add to his own power. He is able to do this while at 100%. He is able to fullyabsorb psychic energiesfrom opponents to become stronger and manifests the psychic energies on himself. Psychic energy transference is also something that Mob uses to transfer psychic energy on psychics and nonpsychics. Non psychics cannot contain psychic energies for long periods of time and is not very effective if they unaware to use psychic powers. Psychics on the other hand will be able to enhance their existing psychic energies. Chlorokinesis is another power Mob uses to control plants with his psychic energy into plants. A few common psychic abilities that Mob possesses are spiritual awareness, the ability to sense the presence of other psychics in the area as well as Astral projection, the ability to leave his physical body in the form of a spirit andenter the mindof others.
Mob Psycho 100 III: Why This Season’s Pacing Is Brilliant
The series depicts Mob’s development at certain percentages, growing gradually to reach 100%. Once 100% is reached, Mob has a psychic explosion that gives him his immense psychic abilities. Once his 100% is over, his counter resets back to 0%.His negative 100% emotional states includes rage, sadness, animosity and murderous intent whereas his positive 100% state showcases trust, friendship, kindness and compassion.

As seen in the ??? Arc, Mob’s ??? state is a subconscious growth of Mob’s bottled up true powers. When Mob reaches 100% he uses his psychic power which are more emotive, however at ???% or ###%, Mob goes into a dazed-like frenzy state where his subconscious state has control over him. The powers unleashed at this state is highly destructive and Mob has little to almost no control over himself when in this state. The ???% state is a dangerous state for Mob as he is able to use limitless psychic energy in a stronger way than his 100% state. The ???% state is Mob’s subconscious personality that takes over, andMob becomes extremely uncontrollableand as he unleashes his psychic powers, without any remorse to the surrounding and people around him. In simplicity, Mob becomes so powerful he is capable of causing natural disasters like earthquakes and cyclones as well as disasters like destroying cities and forests, basically a God.
While in ???% state Mob is able to execute high levels of energy absorption which lets him absorb the energy from other psychics with ease. This would have been impossible for him to do at any other lower state. The biggest problem while being in ???% state is thatMob is not in controlof his actions, and is capable of doing something he may regret later.
