But, with the release ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the least popular characters like Kate Laswell have stepped into the spotlight, gaining more attention. And fans that want to learn a little more about these characters cancollect Intel Fragmentsscattered across different Spec Ops missions.

Here’s the location ofall 20 Intel fragments inDenied Area. Players that find 20 Intel Fragments will be rewarded with a trophy/achievement. Furthermore, finding all 50 Intel Fragments will reward players with a calling card, emblem, and weapon skin.
While there isn’t any time limit, there are certain checkpoints in the mission. Once these checkpoints are reached, players are unable to return to certain areas. So, players should make sure they collect each Intel Fragment before completing the mission targets.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 1/20
Several Intel Fragments can only be found by using a Geiger Counter, so players will need to get (and keep) the Geiger Counter located on top of a cement block next to the small shack at the start of the mission. Once obtained, players will need to use it to find the first Intel Fragment (a crate). Players will know they are very close to itonce the Geiger Counter reaches 9.00+.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 2/20
The second Audio Log Intel Fragment players can collect is located to the left of the S.A.M Target Site A. Players will find it on top of a wooden chair.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 3/20
The third Intel Fragment is found on top of a table under a tent within the S.A.M Target Site A area. There are two possible spawn locations, both of which are on a table under a tent within this area.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 4/20
Now players should complete their current mission objective and locate a vehicle to reach the next Intel Fragment. The fourth Intel Fragment (a blue folder) will be inside the largest house on the right side of the road (marked on the map). Players will find it on a table in the dining room on the first floor.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 5/20
The fifth Intel Fragment (a blue folder) will be located inside a large building with a tower on the same side of the road as the previous one. The Intel Fragment can be found on a bedside table in a room with several hospital beds.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 6/20
The next Intel Fragment is found at the top of the tower of the same building. Players can find the ladder that leads up to it at the side of the building. Players will also find a Victus XMR Sniper Rifle in this area, which isone of the best guns players can use in the campaign.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 7/20
Players must push forward from this area until they reach a large building (marked on the map) with several lootable Rocket Launchers and an Ammo Refill station. Players should go inside this building, head to the second floor, and go into the first room they see to the right. Players will find the seventh Intel Fragment on top of a red toolbox.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 8/20
The eighth Intel Fragment is found in the building directly to the right of the building with the Ammo Refill Station (if the player is facing the Ammo Refill Station). It’s located on the second floor, in front of a TV.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 9/20
Players can continue down the road until they reach a forked section (one side leads to D and the other to B/C) with several buildings in the middle. Players should head to the building located in the middle and head up to the second floor, where they’ll find the ninth Intel Fragment next to a TV.
Denied Area Intel Fragment 10/20
The following Intel Fragments will be located within the S.A.M Target Site D, but this area has a Grenade Turret guarding it (a common feature in the Spec Ops missions). So, players should focus on disabling it before attempting to collect any Intel Fragments since a couple of hits can instantly down a player. Players can find the tenth Intel Fragment (USB Stick) plugged into a laptop near the S.A.M Turret.
