A new bug has appeared inCall of Duty: Modern Warfarethat is preventing players from unlocking the coveted Damascus camo. EveryModern Warfarefan dreams of completing the difficult and long grind that is Damascus, but to do the hard work and still receive no reward is frustrating, to say the least.
Earning Damascus inModern Warfareis a right of passage forCall of Dutyfans, and is one of the most satisfying experiences in the entire game. Players work for hours completing challenging - and sometimes unfair - challenges just to see the spam of notifications proving that they have achieved the most prized skin in the game.

Recently, a very unsettling bug has been ruining the dreams ofModern Warfareplayers across all platforms. Despite completing the last challenge, players are simply not getting the camo reward that they deserve. Reddit user ebai69 has worked tirelessly to gain their Damascus status only to have nothing happen after completing the last weapon. A video, posted to Reddit, shows their entire collection of weapons and skins with every challenge completed, yet Damascus is still locked. Ebai says they have contacted Activision Support but so far it has not yielded any solutions for this exasperated fan.
Some fans are blaming the bug on the recent addition of the AN-94 and ISO. This bug only appeared after the launch of Season 5, and it is easily within the realm of believability that Infinity Ward could have made them part of the Damascus grind accidentally.
It is common knowledge that DLC weapons do not usually apply totheModern WarfareDamascus challenge, but fans are grasping at straws at this point. Some players have noted that the same glitch has been applying to individual gun rewards at a much smaller scale. Camos for Gold, Platinum, and other rewards, are simply not being applied which tends to demotivate the fanbase’s drive to complete the camo challenges.
Fans that have completed the Damascus run understand how frustrating this glitch has been.Gaining Damascus requires hours upon daysof hard work to progress through even one tier of weapons. For all that effort to be blocked by a bug that only appeared after a Season patch is demoralizing, to say the least. For now,Call of Dutyfans will simply have to wait for Activision or Infinity Ward to fix the in-game camo reward system. The best way to help accelerate the process is to provide reports and proof of the error to Activision support in an effort to show the urgency of the problem.
