Twitchstreamer Nadia has released a video addressing her recent ban from the streaming platform and the doxxing situation that caused it. Nadia is one ofTwitch’s fastest-rising stars, and also one of the most controversial. Nadia has been accused of cheating inCall of Duty: Warzone, though those accusations have yet to be proven. Recently, Nadia found herself the center of another controversy, as she was banned from Twitch for doxxing a viewer live on stream.
In one of her recent Twitch streams, Nadia was sent a donation from a viewer that included a message accusing her of cheating. Nadia responded to this message by saying the donator’s full name live on stream. This could be considered a form of doxxing, and so unsurprisingly,Twitch hit Nadia with a 14-day banfor sharing personal information. It didn’t take long for Twitch to reverse the ban, though, and Nadia’s account was restored not long after it was deactivated.

Nadiahas now released a video discussing her side of the situation. Describing her Twitch ban as one of the most terrifying moments of her life, Nadia said the viewer in question sent four hate messages during her stream. Nadia said that she was “really irritated” with the messages because while she regularly receives hate messages, she wasn’t used to having four sent by the same person in a row. Denying rumors that she also leaked the person’s address, Nadia admitted that saying their full name on stream “wasn’t the best way” to “combat the hate.” She said, “I made a mistake, and I do apologize to Twitch.” Nadia ended the video by saying that she is going to learn how to deal with the hate messages and apologized to her fans in case she let them down with her actions.
Many of the comments on Nadia’s video are supportive of the streamer, but not everyone shares that view. Fellow Twitch streamer Asmongold has said that he thinksNadia should receive a permanent banfor her actions. Other streamers have echoed similar thoughts, especially after Twitch didn’t even follow through with its initial 14-day ban.
Twitch updates its policiesregularly, and it’s possible harsher consequences will be put in place for streamers who dox viewers on stream in response to this situation. As of now, though, Twitch has not commented on the controversy, and it’s unclear what the streaming giant’s plans to tackle this type of thing will be moving forward, if it has any at all.
