Borderlands 3players, meet the Yellowcake. This radioactive rocket launcher can one-shot powerful enemies and bosses, and players are loving it.

The new gun was introduced toBorderlands 3via the new free eventRevenge of the Cartels, which has been allowing players to gain exclusive, powerful new guns. The weapon with the most hype is easily the Yellowcake, which shoots splitting projectiles that can quickly obliterate even the most powerful of enemies.

The Yellowcake’s power can be amped up even more if it’s Anointed. One of these bonuses allows guns to inflict three times as much damage for enemies with most of their health, which can easily lead to OHKO’s. Many players are displaying the gun’s capabilities online, and even bosses are getting wrecked with this gun. The Yellowcake could even one day join the ranks ofgreat legendary weapons inBL3like the Anarchy and the Brainstormer.

And the Yellowcake isn’t the only new legendary weaponRevenge of the Cartelshas brought to the game. TheSand Hawk Legendary sniper rifleis an incredibly potent weapon that many players are getting to use. It looks like thisBL3event is upping some lucky players' games in a big way. The Yellowcake is obtainable via random drop from some of the event’s bosses.

Revenge of the Cartelscomes with another major free update,Mayhem Mode 2.0. However, the latter update has reportedly beencausing major glitches and even crashing, which has frustrated a lot ofBorderlands 3players. It’s difficult for players to enjoy such a great weapon when their games aren’t even functioning all the time.

Although some players are facing technical issues, and others aren’t lovingRevenge of the Cartels’nostalgic ’80s theme, there’s no doubt that the new legendary guns are a big hit. Who wouldn’t want to take out every boss and powerful opponent they see with one hit? Of course, Gearbox has shown a history of being quick to nerf strong weapons inBL3. It’s likely that Yellowcake owners won’t get to enjoy one-shotting their enemies forever. Until then, players can hunt for the gun from Cartel enemies' weapon drops and enjoy bulldozing their enemies for a bit.

Borderlands 3is available now for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
