DC Justice Leaguewill be more family-oriented and less gritty than otherDC games currently in development. It’s being developed by Outright Games, a game studio that has worked on similar titles in the past. This includesMy Friend Peppa Pig,Hotel Transylvania Scary-Tale Adventures, and upcoming DC Comics gameDC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace.
This is evident with the teaser trailer released by Outright Games forDC Justice League. The game has a similarly family-oriented cartoony look to each member. This iteration of the team will include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman as playable characters. A portal then opens up behind them, with a release window of 2023, alongside an evil laugh at the end of the trailer. This maniacal laughter is speculated to be Batman’s eternal nemesis, the Joker.
This game will be coming to both PC and modern consoles on the market. The reception for this trailer is a bit mixed, with some finding the cartoony family-friendly artstyle adorable, while others are feeling the opposite. Some fans might have expected a more modern and mature title, similar to theArkhamgamesor other mainstream superhero games. Fans will have to wait till next year to see if their doubts about thisJustice Leaguegame are founded however, as this trailer doesn’t show any gameplay at this time.
DC Justice Leagueis in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
