In this case, a bug affected the Japanese and Korean Qualifiers for their Pokemon National Championships, and the Pokemon World Championships overall. The bug prevented players from viewing rankings, quickly requesting rematches with the same opponents, and being able to exit out of the menu in between battles. However, the fix should arrive before a repeat of these Qualifier Tournaments begins next week, starting on May 28.
However, the timing of this update lines up with another feature arriving next week, as the long-awaitedPokemon Scarlet and Violetupdate for Pokemon Home arrives on May 24. With the update, Pokemon that were previously unavailable inPokemon Scarlet and Violetthat were available in previous generations will make their way to the Paldea region, with some exceptions. In addition, certain Pokemon from the past that can be caught in Paldea, such as Pikachu and Eevee, can be sent to games such asPokemon Sword and Shield, provided that they only have moves and abilities that were available to them in the past. In addition, trainers that link theirPokemon Scarlet and Violetsave files to Pokemon Home once both updates arrive will receive a Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxley with their respective Hidden Abilities.
The arrival ofPokemon Scarlet and Violetcompatibility to Pokemon Home should provide quite a shake-up to the competitive scene, asPokemon such as Hisuian Zoroark and UrsalunafromPokemon Legends: Arceuswill arrive in Paldea in the coming days. Between that and the upcoming DLC later this year,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers will soon have no shortage of additions to their rosters.
