The move to the third dimension brought with iteven more Heart Piecesthan its predecessors, with a grand total of 36 found scattered across the game for an additional nine Heart Containers on top of those won through boss battles. Today, we’re going to find them all.
36Heart Piece 1
In LonLon Ranch, head behind the horse track and into the building full of cows. Move the boxes around to access the back corner wall, where a small hole is hidden that you can crawl through. Inside is the first Heart Piece.
35Heart Piece 2
In Hyrule Market at night, find the woman’s lost dog and she will give you a Heart Piece. The correct dog should spawn on the left side of the screen once you enter the market from Hyrule Field, under the man looking out a window. Take the dog to the right-hand side down the alleyway, and into the door ahead - not the one on the left.
34Heart Piece 3
In the Lost Woods, in the same room as the Slingshot mini-game, head down the ladder and stand on the weirdly shaped log at the other end. Complete the Skull Kids' ocarina game and they will give you a Heart Piece.
33Heart Piece 4
In the Graveyard, play Dampe’s grave digging game for a chance to dig up a Heart Piece. The piece should spawn directly in front of a gravestone.
32Heart Piece 5 (Saria’s Song Required)
Once you have Saria’s Song, head into the Lost Woods where there are two stumps, one very tall and one much shorter. Play the song for the Skull Kid and he will give you the Heart Piece.
31Heart Piece 6 (Zelda’s Lullaby and Sun Song Required)
In the Graveyard, one of the smaller gravestones is hiding a hole in the ground, which contains a Gibdo. Play the Sun Song where it is standing to spawn a chest, which contains the Heart Piece.
30Heart Piece 7
In Death Mountain on top of the dungeon entrance is a Heart Piece that is normally unreachable until you get the Master Sword. However, you can Z-Lock with your back facing the bombs and backflip over the ledge to get it much sooner.
29Heart Piece 8 (Goron Bracelet or Bomb Bag Required)
In Goron City, light all of the torches to get the giant vase in the center to start spinning around on the floor. Throw bombs or bomb fruit inside it while it’s spinning and it will spit out some Rupees and a Heart Piece.
28Heart Piece 9 (Dodongo’s Cavern Beaten)
After being sent to the top of Death Mountain, there will be a room behind the owl that you can’t last long inside without the adult Goron Tunic. However, there’s nothing stopping you from running inside and getting the Heart Piece over the ledge before grabbing the Master Sword. Just fall down and catch yourself on the wall to reach it faster.
27Heart Piece 10
From the top of Death Mountain, get the owl to carry you back down to Kakariko Village and he will drop you on top of a building.
