Sometime after the newMonster Hunter Risetrailer was uploaded showcasing the special items, Capcom and SEGA surprised fans by sharing artwork on social media as part of the collaboration, with both pieces showcasing each of the franchises in their respective styles. Yuji Uekawa from Sonic Team, most known for hisSonic Adventureartworks, personally drew a piece depicting Sonic resting with a Palico and Palamute buddy. To make the artwork stand out even further, Sonic is seen in the iconic armor of Kamura Village, complete with special headgear to cover his quills.

Capcom’s piece meanwhile features Sonic running alongside a Palamute and Palico without the added armor detail, but the entire piece is done in the art style seen onMonster Hunter Rise’smonstersketches, giving Sonic himself a uniqueMonster Hunterfeel exclusive to the artwork.

Fans have expressed enjoying the detail found in the artworks, and since this is the firstMonster Huntercollaboration that has art to go alongside it, it definitely solidifies that both development teams are rather excited about the special event. The special collaboration between Capcom and SEGA also features plenty of items for fans to get, with the most items being available in an event thus far.

In the middle of all of the special event DLC quests found inMonster Hunter Rise,Monster Hunter Worldhas been losing collaboration questsas certain licenses have run out over time. While this is still a fair way off forMonster Hunter Rise, fans should keep the fact that even the Sonic quest may only be around for a few years before being made unavailable.

Monster Hunter Riseis available now for Nintendo Switch, with a PC release coming Jul 18, 2025.
