The Mandalorianstar Pedro Pascal has put yet another charming thing about him on display as he responds to a social media shout-out from pastBuffy the Vampire Slayerco-star Sarah Michelle Gellar with a perfect recollection of an on-set moment.
Buffy the Vampire Slayerwas a supernatural drama that premiered in 1997 and was created and directed by Joss Whedon. Despitethe possibility of aBuffy the Vampire Slayerreboot being shot downdefinitively, it did come up again recently whenBuffyleading lady Gellar took to Instagram to post a still from the show featuring herself and a young Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), sans his now trademark facial hair. The post was captioned “When #Mother met #Father,” and drew fans to the comments section to shower both stars with compliments.

However, despite being tagged in the image, Pascal was unaware of the post until it was brought to his attention during interviews withAccess HollywoodandEntertainment Tonightat the Los Angeles premiere ofThe Mandalorianseason 3. “Sarah Michelle Gellar posted about me?” the star, who recently added the lead role inThe Last of Usadaptation to his list of accolades, said in response to the news. “I need to get on the world wide web!”
Pascal seemed genuinely pleased at the news and proceeded to rather gently derail the following question to discuss the post and his time onBuffyfurther. With the interviewer leading the discussion by showing Pascal the post, the star demonstrated perfect recall by listing the Buffy episode he was in and emphatically stating that he remembered “absolutely everything” about it when asked. He then reminisced about Gellar sharing ice cream and lessons with him, calling her “the best.”
Unfortunately, not every interaction on theBuffy the Vampire Slayerset was so wholesome or fondly looked back on, especially in connection to creator and showrunner Whedon. FromCharisma Carpenter’s accusations of on-set abuseduring the show’s filming to more recent drama withJustice Leaguestar Ray Fisher that led to the actor swearing off working with the formerly well-regarded filmmaker, things like Whedon’s work onBuffy the Vampire Slayeris the very core of the “separating art from the artist” argument.
The Mandalorianseason 3 drops new episodes on Wednesdays on Disney Plus.
