Bulletstormturned 10 in February 2021, and while a sequel was reportedly in the works at one point way back in the day, that was put on hold and never came to fruition when Epic Games put People Can Fly onGears of War: Judgment. That didn’t stop PCF though. In 2017, the remasteredBulletstorm: Full Clip Editionreleased for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, while a Switch version released in late 2019.
Of course, People Can Fly hasn’t been attached to Epic Games for quite a few years, and it did retain the rights toBulletstorm. Many have likely been curious if something would ever come of it. As it stands, People Can Fly is currently focused on growing as a global brand, withOutridersbeing its first release since it split from Epic. There’s alsoProject Gemini and Project Daggerin the works, while PCF has also converted Phosphor Games into People Can Fly Chicago andacquired Game Onin recent weeks. Game Rant spoke with PCF CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski about the growth of People Can Fly, and as such, we asked about any potential return toBulletstorm.

It’s not like People Can Fly hasn’t discussed a potential sequel in the past, but there’s been a ton of variables. That remains true, as pleasing fans of the original yet making the IP more modern to the current market would likely be a challenge. Still, People Can Fly seems to be as an interested inBulletstormas ever. Wojciechowski described it as “very near to our hearts,” though he did make it very clear that “there are no immediate plans right now.”
Of course, with two Triple-A games currently in the works, ongoing support forOutriders, and the general growth of the company, this is understandable. The aforementioned growth could be good forBulletstorm, though, asPeople Can Fly has ambitions of self-publishingone day (while still continuing to work with publishing partners). The bigger People Can Fly gets, the more likelyBulletstorm 2may just be. Wojciechowski did say that People Can Fly hopes to return toBulletstormone day, as “who knows what the future holds.” Most importantly, though, with the growth of the company, Wojciechowski did say,
“Definitely, with growing bigger and getting new teams on board, it will be easier to come back one day to this IP.”
While there may be no immediate plans forBulletstorm, Wojciechowski hasn’t ever ruled it out. It does seem that if players ever boot up as Grayson Hunt again, it may be a completely different experience, but nonetheless,People Can Fly’s growthis only good for it and all its IPs it seems.
