Summary
A creativePokemonfan has designed a human form for Magby, a Fire-type baby Pokemon.Pokemonfan art often takes many different forms, including tapestries, murals, painted skateboards, and much more, but creating drawings of the so-called Fakemon is possibly its most popular form, and this work is an excellent example of that.
Magby is a baby Pokemon that originally appeared inPokemon Gold and Silverway back in the second generation. The small creature evolves to Magmar at level 30. After that, its final evolution is Magmortar, which is one of thebest Fire-type Pokemonaround for fans of the games but can only be gained by using an item called Magmarizer on a Magmar.

Now, aPokemonfan called Endifi reimagined the little Magby as a human boy called Buma. The human Magby’s design is pretty faithful to the original form of the creature, as it uses fairly similar color patterns and shapes. Some of the changes, however, include Magby’s skin being turned into a red coat and boots, and the Pokemon’s belly being exchanged for a light yellow shirt. Perhaps the coolest detail of the new design is how Magby’s weird, blobby head was turned into red curly hair.
This is not Endifi’s first work, as the artist has been designing alternative versions of Pokemon for quite a while. In fact, Buma is the latest of a collection that the artist made recently after a trip to Hawaii featuring baby Pokemon from the second generation. Previously, the artist created human versions for both Smoochum and Elekid. While Elekid was turned into a smug girl with a yellow and black dress with electric themes, the Human Smoochum fan artwas greatly inspired by Hula dancers. Endifi turned the little pink baby creature into a cute anime-like dancer with a pink skirt, wearing flower necklaces and having yellow hair that looks the same as Smoochum’s, which gives it a strong Hawaiian vibe.
Not all Pokemon art is as adorable as Endifi’s trilogy of baby Pokemon turned into humans, though. Some fan artists simply want to try out something weird or different. This is the case of a recentBug-type Pikachu art named Pikabee. In this case, the artist did a pretty creative job by essentially fusing a Pikachu with a bee. Despite the creator actively avoiding drawing something creepy, it’s fair to say that Pikabee looks absolutely uncanny, but in a fun way.
