Since Nintendo released the originalPokemongames back in 1996, fans have imagined their own Pokemon and thought of what other Pokemon would look like if they were slightly different. One suchPokemonfan has decided to create the whole Rhyhorn evolution line as tiny baby Pokemon which effectively contrast their standard forms.
Reddit user Mmmmmapplepie recently posted fan art of their idea for a baby Rhyhorn evolution line, complete with baby Rhydon and Rhyperior. Each stage of the Rock and Ground-type has a cute look to it in order to reflect their small stature, and they fittingly have large shiny eyes as a result.Pokemonsprites are normally small and can make large Pokemon like Rhydon seem much smaller, but because of the scale of Mmmmmapplepie’s fan art, it’s easy to distinguish thebaby Pokemonfrom the sprites of their adult counterparts.

Mmmmmapplepie’s baby Rhyhorn is the most basic of their three Pokemon in the fan art as it has taken up its usual stance, both of its front feet extended past its head with its right foot forward. Initiating the baby aesthetic for the evolution line that’s reflected withRhydonand Rhyperior, Rhyhorn’s head is as large as its body which is a key aspect of the fan art. Unlike Rhyhorn, Rhydon is striking a pose in Mmmmmapplepie’s fan art, seemingly sucking on one of its hands while crossing its eyes to look at the large horn in the center of its face.
The standard Rhydon inPokemonsinceRed and Bluefeatures a spike of hair above its horn and this tuft is notably smaller in Mmmmmapplepie’s fan art as the Pokemon has some maturing to do to grow its hair out. Just like its larger version, the baby Rhydon’s stomach stands out from the rest of its gray body due to its color contrast, and its tail curls around its body from behind.Rhyperioris the final stage of the Rhyhorn evolution line and Mmmmmapplepie’s baby Rhyperior is more theatrical than the other two as it raises one arm to the sky and looks up with a wide-open mouth.
Rhyperior changes up the gray and white color scheme of the Rhyhorn evolution line as it trades a gray body for one that’s a shade of brown and features clumps of orange scale-like rock all around its body. Rhyhorn and Rhydon have been staples in thePokemonfranchise since their introduction inPokemon Red and Blue, but the third evolution took some time to join the Pokedex. Rhyperior was added to the evolution line inPokemon Diamond and Pearlto make it a three-tiered process.
