While there areroughly 900 Pokemon already featured in the series, many of these creatures remain instantly recognizable to passionate fans due to their unique designs. Recently, one gamer decided to make art that gave a new spin on the looks of Jigglypuff and Gengar, two popular pocket monsters seen in the series.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as BigBoiChong shared an image they had made based onthePokemonseriesfeaturing Gengar and Jigglypuff. In the picture, the bodies of Jigglypuff and Gengar were both visible, except with different facial features than many would likely have expected. Jigglypuff had the sinister smile typically seen on Gengar along with its glaring red eyes. On the other hand, Gengar featured two cute eyes and a simple grin, turning theGhost/Poison-type Pokemoninto something far less menacing. This interesting juxtaposition of facial features caused BigBoiChong to humorously write “I Don’t Know What I’ve Done…” when posting the art to Reddit.

Since BigBoiChong shared this fan art of Gengar and Jigglypuff, numerous members of thePokemoncommunity have taken the time to comment on the creation. In fact, the post featuring the swapped faces of the Pokemon has already accumulated more than 15,300 upvotes in less than a day on Reddit. In the comments section, fans attempted to come up with names for the new face-swapped Pokemon. For instance, a popular suggestion proposed by one gamer was “Gigglypuff and Jengar.” In addition, one user pointed out that Gengar’s face on another Pokemon looked even more menacing.

While this fan art created by BigBoiChong was memorable, it is not the onlyPokemon-themed creation shared on the internet over the past couple of weeks. Due to the popularity of Jigglypuff and Gengar, they often are the subject of fan art. For example, another fan recently made a finely detailedcustom ring that featured the face of Gengar. It will be interesting to see what types of creations fans such as BigBoiChong make in the coming weeks. Perhaps they will decide to swap the faces of two other pocket monsters, creating even more shocking Pokemon combinations in the process.
