APokemonplayer has shared an idea for a pocket monster that can rival Eevee by having numerous evolutions that vary in Typing, similar to the Normal-Type. There are a number of creatures in Nintendo’s RPGs that stand out when it comes to the series' process of evolution. CertainPokemon will evolvein odd ways or will branch out into special forms that require certain conditions when they grow into stronger creatures.
One of thesePokemon is Eevee. The Normal-Type pocket monster has many options when it comes to evolving, all of which have different Typings. One fan of the series came up with what they call a “Nega-Eevee,” which will be a Pokemon that also has numerous evolutions that all cover a number of different Types.

A Reddit user named —TheFierceDeity— shared their idea for aPokemonthat could rival Eevee. They stated that since a certain trainer with an Eevee team showed up inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, players have once again demanded a new Eeveelution. The user then brings up the fact that Eevee and its evolutions currently take up 9 of the 18 Types, and suggests that a new Pokemon be created in order to take up that last 9 Typings.
The new pocket monster should be just as cute and lovable as Eevee, but not take on the cat or fox look that theNormal-Type Pokemonand its evolutions all feature. —TheFierceDeity— suggests a cute reptile or bird, something that will work better than Eevee at becoming a Dragon-, Steel-, or Bug-Type. The user stated that the nextPokemonGeneration would be the perfect time to introduce such a creature. Since there are currently 9 Generations and 9 different forms for Eevee, —TheFierceDeity— said that it would be poetic to start a new multi-evolution species of Pokemon in the next set of games.
The idea that —TheFierceDeity— posted on Reddit has earned over 19,000 upvotes, showing that manyPokemonfansseem to agree with them. One user stated that they liked the idea of the Pokemon being a bird, as it could be a reference to Darwin and his finches. Another said that a regional form for Eevee that evolves into the remaining Types would be a better idea than introducing a new pocket monster. A commenter mentioned that they like the idea that —TheFierceDeity— came up with, but that the rival Pokemon should have an ugly and rough appearance, which would contrast with Eevee. A rival for Eevee is an interesting concept and could be a way to shake up the Generation that followsPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
