Lechonk’s adorable appearance and funny namehave made it an overnight sensation in thePokemoncommunity, inspiring countless pieces of fan art and memes since it was first revealed to the masses. Lechonk has become the star ofPokemon Scarlet and Violetleading up to the games' release, though fans know relatively little about the creature so far. We know that Lechonk is a Normal-type Pokemon and its Pokedex entry says its actually muscular instead of chubby, but otherwise little else has been revealed.
For example, it’s unclear at the time of this writing ifLechonkcan evolve or not. It seems likely that Lechonk will have an evolution line of some kind, though Game Freak and Nintendo are remaining tight-lipped about what it may evolve into. While we wait for official world on Lechonk’s evolution, artist Bromojumbo has created their own take on what a possible Lechonk evolution may look like inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Bromojumbo’s Lechonk evolution is named Champork. It turns Lechonk into a buff bipedal boar with tusks and an even more muscular body. Bromojumbo explained that they imagined Lechonk’s evolution as being a mud wrestler, which would fit the pig theme as well as thePokedex entryabout Lechonk being a deceptively muscular creature.
This is far from the first piece of fan art made in honor of Lechonk, and it will certainly not be the last. Besides designing possible evolutions for Lechonk,Pokemonfans have created other tributes for the creature, with one fan imagining what theshiny variant for Lechonkmay look like. Answers to these questions may be revealed beforePokemon Scarlet and Violetlaunch, but fans should keep in mind that they may have to wait to get their hands on the games to find out more.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetlaunch November 18, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
