The month of September has proven to be a busy time forPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers. Between the 7-Star Tera Raid battle against Mewtwo the Unrivaled andthe launch of The Teal Mask, there has been no shortage of things to do in Paldea and Kitakami. As players continue to explore the new locations within the DLC and fill out the Kitakami Pokedex, Game Freak opted to keep players engaged by offering more Tera raid battles. To coincide with the first days of fall,Pokemon Scarlet and Violettrainers will have two new 5-Star Tera raids to challenge.

According to Serebii.net, the 5-Star Tera Raid Battles against Slither Wing and Iron Moth begin on Thursday, September 21 at 8:00 PM Eastern, and conclude on Sunday, September 24, at 7:59 PM Eastern. Each Paradox Pokemon will remain exclusive to the version they are normally found in, withSlither Wing being found inScarlet, and Iron Moth remaining aViolet-exclusive Pokemon. Both of these Paradox Pokemon will have random Tera types and will be around level 75 when battled and caught. Slither Wing will have the Protosynthesis ability, and Iron Moth will have Quark Drive, which will enhance their stats whenever Sunny Day and Electric Terrain are respectively active.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Slither Wing and Iron Moth 5-Star Tera Raid Event
The abilities will also activate if Slither Wing or Iron Moth have Booster Energy as a held item, soPokemon Scarlet and Violettrainers should bring Pokemon that can take advantage of the situation. Both Slither Wing and Iron Moth share one respective type with Volcarona, who is a Bug and Fire dual-type Pokemon. Slither Wing is normally Bug and Fighting, whereasIron Moth is usually a capable Fire and Poison Pokemon. Despite having impressive Attack and Special Attack respectively, both Slither Wing and Iron Moth have low Defense. Ergo, physical attacks that are super-effective against the bosses' Tera-type could be the key to success against these Paradox Pokemon.
The last time that Paradox Pokemon were featured in 5-Star Raids, both the Great Tusk and Iron Treads raids weremarred by issues that resulted in them being pushed back. It remains to be seen if similar issues will plague these newPokemon Scarlet and Violetraids or not.
