Pokemon Scarlet & Violetis the series' first foray into an open-world concept. Throughout the entire world there are 400 Pokemon to be collected,broken down into 18 types. One of these types, the poison-type, features 83 different Pokemon on its own.

The poison-type Pokemon are one of the oldest types that players can find in the series. They are strong against fairy-types and grass-types but weak against ground-types and psychic-types. Here’s a look at the best places to find this type of Pokemon.

8West Province (Area Two)

West Province (Area Two) is a more advanced area that requires players to be at a level between 25 and 29 to be most successful, as most of the Pokemon here are between those levels. This is a great spot for collecting poison-type Pokemon, as players will find Salandit, Croagunk, Toxicroak, Grimer, and Stunky as they explore.

In addition to collecting their Pokemon of choice, players will want to defeat the trainers in this area and collect all the available items. West Province (Area Two) is full of surprises when it comes to what’s available.

7South Province (Area Four)

For players looking for poison-types, South Province (Area Four) is a decent place to start. The average level for Pokemon here is between 16 and 20, so players should also be somewhere within that range. In this area, they’ll find Paldean Whooper, Gastly, Toxel, Croagunk, and Toxtricity.

With all the trainers available to fight in this area, players are sure to make a good bit of money venturing through here. Taking their time to explore will also unveil a lot of items necessary to their journey.

6South Province (Area Six)

South Province (Area Six) is located in the bottom left corner of the map and is home to several poison-type Pokemon. Players will find Clodsire, Salandit, Salazzle, Toxel, and Toxtricityhidden within this corner of Paldea.

Players will want to be prepared to catch as many Pokemon as possible when they visit South Province (Area Six). In addition to the great poison-types available here, they can fill in a lot ofentries in their Pokedexby taking their time and fully exploring everything.

5East Province (Area Two)

East Province (Area Two) and East Province (Area One) are separated by the large river that flows toward the Paldean Sea. Players will find East Province (Area Two) right before they reach Levincia during the “Path of Legends” quest. In this area, they can catch Gastly, Grimer, Shroodle, Venonat, Venomoth, and Mareanie.

The recommended level for this area is 19 to 25. If players defeat six trainers in the area, they’ll receive the TM Stomping Tantrum from the Pokemon League Rep, which is a nice addition to have on top of collecting all these Pokemon.

4Tagtree Thicket

One of the smallest areas on the map is Tagtree Thicket, but it’s also one of the most active locations for Pokemon. Players will find several poison-types here, including Clodsire, Shroodle, Grafaiai, Foongus, Venonat, and Venomoth.

Because it’s such a small area, they’ll have to slow down and explore everything carefully to find all these Pokemon hidden in the trees. Players will visit this area as part of the"Starfall Street" quest linebut can always visit it sooner. It is recommended they be between levels 25 and 32 before venturing into the woods.

3East Province (Area One)

Located outside the town of Artazon, players will visit East Province (Area One) as part of the “Starfall Street” and “Victory Road” quest lines. Players will find the following poison-types here: Gastly, Gulpin, Venonat, Venomoth, Mareanie, and Shroodle.

It is recommended that players be between levels 17 and 23 before entering this area. By defeating five trainers, players will receive the Loaded Dice reward, which makes this area even more beneficial.

2Casseroya Lake

Casseroya Lake is located in the northwest region of the Paldea map. It is bordered by West Province (Area Two), West Province (Area Three), and Glaseado Mountain. Players can capture Swalot, Toxicroak, Croagunk, Amoonguss, Skuntank, and Venomoth here.

Players are recommended to be at a much-advanced level before exploring this area, as the trainers here have Pokemon with levels between 53 and 56. However,defeating seven of themwill earn players a Hydro Pump TM.

1South Province (Area Five)

South Province (Area Five) is located next to South Province (Area One) and just below South Province (Area Three). Players should be between levels 16 and 24 before entering this area for the most success.

They can find Paldean Whooper, Clodsire, Gastly, Croagunk, Toxicroak, Stunky, and Seviper. This area is the most active for poison-types. In addition to the great Pokemon that can be caught,if players can defeat seven trainers, they will receive an Eviolite from the Pokemon League Rep.
