The newest update forPokemon Uniteis now live, both nerfing some of the game’s strongest Pokemon and buffing others to match up with their competition. The popularPokemonMOBA has seen regular updates since its July 2021 launch with TiMi Studios regularly adding new content to the game. With each new month typically bringing at least one to two new Pokemon, the developer has frequently looked to curb the power level of some ofthePokemonMOBA’s strongest meta threats. Now, a new update features hits to Sableye, Urshifu, and more.Pokemon Unite’s roster has continually grown since its launch, debuting with a group of 20 Pokemon for players to battle it out. TiMi Studios has featured monthly additions to the game’s roster with some months even featuring multiple new Pokemon hitting the battlefield. Creatures like Sableye and Urshifu have made an immediate impact onPokemon Unite’s meta game, bringing powerful new strategies with Sableye’s stealth and Urshifu’s damage reduction when using Wicked Blow. Sableye’s Shadow Sneak is among the biggest hits in the patch, both increasing the duration to enter stealth and its ability to be removed from stealth.Urshifu sees changes to both of its forms, with Single Strike receiving hits to Wicked Blow’s damage reduction and Ebon Fist’s damage as well as Rapid Strike’s cooldowns being buffed. Scyther and Scizor also had their mobility hit across the board with several attacks being nerfed.
Alongside the nerfs, several other Pokemon have received a buff going into the newestPokemon Unitepatch. Clefable’s support abilities have received a major buff in the update with both the HP restoration from Moonlight and the crowd control duration on Gravity being increased.Hoopa’s Phantom Force is being majorly buffed, allowing the Pokemon to freely warp to locations without relying on an opposing Pokemon, as well as seeing cooldown reductions on Hyperspace Hole. Dragapult also received minor buffs to Shadow Ball’s damage.
AsPokemon Unitemoves into 2023, the roster is set to expand even more throughout coming updates. Early January brought with it the release of Dragapult asUnite’s newest Pokemon with an aggressive, late-game focused playstyle. TiMi Studios and The Pokemon Company have also already revealed February’s addition to the roster withComfey coming as a support charactersimilar toLeague of Legends' Yuumi.Pokemon Unite’s roster will surely continue to grow as the game moves into the back half of its second full year.

Sableye
Sableye could too easily use Shadow Sneak to safely hide in stealth, so Shadow Sneak has been nerfed to give Sableye’s targets more opportunity to retaliate.

So that Urshifu’s fists are used more for offense than defense, Wicked Blow has been nerfed. Ebon Fist’s ability to throw opponents was also too powerful, so it has been nerfed.

Mr. Mime has been able to contribute greatly in battle from start to finish. To reduce Mr. Mime’s capability in the second half of battle, Confusion, Power Swap, and Showtime! have been nerfed.
