One of the most lauded tactical shooters is Ubisoft’sRainbow Six Siege, with the title still going strong and receiving support seven years later. Critics and fans have praised the improvements and updates after its launch, even after adopting a games-as-a-service model. This consistent stream of updates has givenRainbow Six Siegefans a lot to play with. This has led to the title getting some crossover content in the past few years.
The crossover cosmetics thatRainbow Six Siegehas received have varied wildly in tone, with some coming from unexpected sources. While there have been skins based on other games like Capcom’sResident Evil, which made sense, there have also been a set ofRick and Morty-themed skins which took many aback. Another set of skins that caught fans off-guard was a set ofRainbow Six Siegeskins based on theYakuzaseries, with Ubisoft announcing that another set is out now.

This set of skins will be for the Japanese operator fromRainbow Six Siege, Echo. While the last set of skins for Echo was based on Kazuma Kiryu, the face and protagonist of theYakuzaseries up until its seventh entry, this newest set of cosmetics is based on his rival. These cosmetics were shown off in a new trailer uploaded by Ubisoft, letting fans know that the set is based on the Mad Dog of Shimano,Goro Majima.
With this skin, Echo will take on an appearance heavily based on Majima’s appearance inYakuza Kiwami, the remake of the first game. This includes a uniform based on Majima’s classic snakeskin jacket, weapon skins that resemble some of his iconic weapons, such as a baseball bat and a pistol that is adorned with the sameHannya tattoo that is seen on Majima’s back. The trailer even replicates a hilarious moment fromYakuza Kiwami, where Majima gets hit in the head by a baseball.
The trailer notes thisEcho Elite skinwill contain a number of other Majima-themed cosmetics, such as a victory animation, a gadget skin gives them a yokai theme, and a charm. Players can get this skin right now fromRainbow Six Siege’s in-game shop for 2,160 R6 credits. Hopefully this partnership between Sega and Ubisoft continues and fans can continue to get skins based on otherYakuzacharacters such as the protagonist of the latest game in the series, Ichiban Kasuga.
Rainbow Six Siegeis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
