Reunited with Luis and with the Los Plagas infection halted, for now, Leon and his companion must venture through theCastle mines to rescue Ashley in Chapter 11ofResident Evil 4. From Chainsaw Men to minecart chases, this hectic chapter sees Leon encounter another face from his past. Including encounters from the Mines to the Hive, this guide will provide a walkthrough of Chapter 11 in theResident Evil 4remake.

Mines
At the top of the elevator, take a right toarrive at one ofRE4’s Shooting Range. From here, climb the ladder on the right of the Merchant and walk left along the tracks until coming across a dead end. Backtrack andtake the tunnel labeled “M-4,”walking up the stairs to find a mineshaft patrolled by Ganados. Hop over the painted railing ahead to engage in a difficult fight.
Along with Grenadiers and Plaga Guadaña, the lesser Ganados will be joined by two Chainsaw Ganados. Use explosive weaponry to control the crowds while using Leon’s best weapons on the Chainsaw users from a distance to clear the room.
Free of enemies, climb the stairs at the back of the room beside the locked door, entering the room at the top where two villagers will ambush Leon from behind. Pull the lever in here to lower the bridge at the far end of the room. Head downstairs and open the locked door, going up the stairs ahead as the bridge lowers.
Cross the bridge, where twoother Ganadoswill appear from around the corner. Deal with them and head around the corner they came from, killing the other villager and retrieving the dynamite from the crate. Walk out of the room and go left, dropping off the platform and heading back to the dead end. Placethe TNT in the rock and take cover in the M4 Tunnel.
Blast Furnace
Continue through the blast zone and take a left to bust through a grate triggering a fight withtwo El Gigante.Fight the unarmored giantuntil his parasite emerges, at which point, dealing enough damage to it will cause it to fall.
A short while into the fight with the armored giant, Luis disappears. Keep the behemoth occupied until Luis reappears with some dynamite. Lead the giant over to the platform Luis is on, and a cutscene will trigger where he will plant the explosives on the creature’s back.
Shoot it to cause the Giant to fall to the floor, allowing Leon torush in for a melee attack. Once the giant gets back up, shoot the parasite to stun him – rinse and repeat until he falls.
Alternatively, with the El Gigante stunned, Leon canuse the console in the room to open the Blast Furnace, causing the giant to fall in and die immediately. Regardless, with the fight over, head over to Luis and boost him through the gap in the wall to leave.
In the next room, take the stairs up and follow the mineshaft to a cavewith a typewriter, where Luis will climb into a minecart. Drop down and push it forward to begin the next section.

Hope You Like Thrill Rides
When the cart gains speed,Leon and Luiswill need to lean in order to prevent the cart from falling off the rails. Up ahead, planks of wood will block the path – shoot them to prevent taking damage. Further,a yellow handle can be shot to switch the tracksand avoid a crash.
Continue leaning around corners until two minecarts begin to flank Leon; kill their occupants and press forward. Around another corner, two more will appear on the left. Kill them, also, andshoot the boards ahead.
After some more leaning, the minecart will shoot over a gap. On the other side, twopairs of Ganadoswill flank Leon. Shooting them or the explosive barrels near them will prevent them from doing more harm. After another appears from the right,kill him and the Grenadier on the tracks in frontbefore killing another on the left.
Another group on the right will appear between some explosive barrels. Shoot them and the track-switch ahead to come to a stop further up. Walk around and up the stairs at the Stopover, where three Ganados will attack.Kill them and proceed up the stairs to another minecart.
After some leaning, the duo will hear a familiar sound. Jumping a gap, kill the two Ganados on the right, ignoringthe Chainsaw Manfor now. Kill another two on the left and a Grenadier on the track. Lean around the corners and destroy the boards where the cart will emerge into an opening.Shoot the barrels blocking the track and start shooting the Chainsaw Man as he gets closer. When he pulls away, kill the three archers on the right before shooting him with bullets again.
Kill the two Ganados archers on the lower track to the right when the Chainsaw man pulls up again.Pummel him with bullets until he moves awayand begin leaning around corners again. Ahead, a tower will collapse onto the tracks;shoot the switch to continue forwardand be ready to lean. Coming across a nest, the minecart section will come to a close.
Hive
Walking forwards from the cliff, the path ahead will fall down. Drop down the ledges and press forward to a room with an explosive barrel. All around this cavern are camouflaged Navistadores that need taking care of, along with aMerchant request to destroy their hives.Head through the shaft on the rightand walk up into an area with another barrel and more Navistadores.
Go through another shaft on the right and continue through until coming across a crevice on the right guarded by an insect. Through here are a save room anda Merchant stall.Pressing forward instead will lead to the elevator and progress.
After a short cutscene, Leon will land in a boss fight with Jack Krauser, Leon’s former commander and Lord Saddler’s willing servant.Defeating Krauser in Chapter 11is no easy task, but staying on guard andmaking use ofResident Evil 4’s parry and dodgemechanics should lead to victory and end the chapter.
