The final boss fight from theResident Evil 4remakehas leaked online, offering fans of glimpse of what they can expect from the game’s ultimate challenge. This premature revelation arrived weeks ahead of the game’s March 24 release and shortly after Capcom launched a limiteddemo forResident Evil 4remakethat’s now available for downloadon both PC and consoles.

The Japanese developer has so far been fairly coy about sharing materials from its highly anticipated survival horror game. It even took months to unveil some of the bonus assets from the game’s premium versions that have been up for pre-order since October 2022, such as theskins for Ashley available in theResident Evil 4remake’s Deluxe Edition. Despite all that secrecy, the game has been the subject of quite a few leaks since before it was even announced.

In yet another example illustrating Capcom’s troubles with running a leak-free ship, a portion of the final boss fight from theResident Evil 4remake found its way online as part of agameplay video shared by Tiktok user _black_mask_guy_on March 15. The clip shows the final portion of the cutscene just before the player regains control of Leon ahead of the fight itself, and shows the boss that most people who beat the original game will likely have etched into memory. This gameplay recording also offers another brief glimpse ofLeon’s long-time ally inResident Evil 4named Ada Wong, who was first seen in leaked screenshots on March 13.

The design of the final boss seems fairly close to the 2005 game, and the same goes for the environment where the fight takes place. As for how this leak came to be,physical copies of theResident Evil 4remake have already been spottedin the wild as of early March, so it’s not too surprising someone not bound by an NDA got their hands on the game and beat it. The source of this leak even revealed that they attempted to share a clip of the game’s penultimate boss fight, but not before Capcom reported their account to TikTok for copyright violations, thus preventing them from uploading any additional footage.

Even without the leaks, interest in the upcoming survival horror game appears to be at an all-time high. In one of the latest examples illustrating that excitement, one tech-savvy fan recently went through the trouble of modding theResident Evil 4remakedemo just so they could remove its time and kill limits, thus being able to play through the otherwise brief experience for as long as possible.
