The latest rumor surroundingAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camphints that the tactics game bundle may be arriving sooner than some expected.Advance Warsfans have been hoping for an update regarding the game’s release since its delay in early 2022. Nintendo has remained quiet, however, as the war in Ukraine has continued. It may be ready to move forward, however, if the claims of a supposed Walmart employee are to be believed.
This past week watchful Nintendo fans shared a curious discovery online: the Nintendo SwitcheShop profile forAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camphad been updated. It was updated in a way that did not provide any further information about the release. But it was still updated, which is typically indicative of upcoming pre-orders, a release, or something else substantive. Without corroborating evidence or an official announcement from Nintendo, however, theAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Campnews was nothing more than a rumor.

Yet another rumor has now taken root online, even less reliable than the Nintendo eShop change. A Reddit user named SexyPrincessWriter is saying that they’re a Walmart employee and that the latest delivery for general merchandise includedAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Campcardboard displays. The displays included directions to be put up on February 10 and states, “Available Now.” In other words, the supposed Walmart employee is alleging thatAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Campwill launchsometime between now and February 10.
Unfortunately, the Reddit user does not provide any specific evidence of what they’re claiming. The post is also made in a subreddit that does not require proof of a claim for a post to be allowed. As such, the claim could be entirely falsified. There’s no reason to believe it’s true, thoughAdvance Warsfans will certainly hope it is.
The only other claim from the Reddit user is that cardboard displays were also delivered forThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These cardboard displays supposedly feature box art andTears of the Kingdom’s release date of May 12. This is an interesting claim, if only because the rumor regardingAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp’s eShop profile being updated last week also claimedThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s eShop profile was updated. Of course, all that might prove is that the Reddit user also saw the eShop rumor.
If the rumor is true, that means that Nintendo will likely make an announcement relatively soon. Either it will announceAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp’s upcoming release on its own, or it will announce a Nintendo Direct event next week. A bit more patience is all that’s necessary to confirm whethertheseAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camprumorsare accurate or not.
