Even thoughYs: The Oath in Felghanais widely regarded as one of the best installments in the series by diehard Falcom fans, the game has yet to make its way to more modern platforms besides Steam, at least in the West. It looks like this might change soon, however, as a recent leak spotted by gamergalmilla on Twitter seemingly indicates that the publisher XSEED Games is gearing up to bringYs Memoireto the West in the near future.
Ys: The Oath of Felghana’s HD Remaster May Finally Get a Western Release
It appears that XSEED Games uploaded an image showcasing the demos the company plans to offer at Anime Expo 2024 a bit too early, as the wording in the leaked marketing material suggests that the post was meant to go live on July 7, the last day of the upcoming convention. If that’s the case, then the Western release ofYs Memoire: The Oath of Felghanacould be a surprise announcement at the event. That would certainly be exciting news for Falcom fans in the West, as they’d finally be able to addthe HD remaster to theirNintendo Switch JRPGlibraries.
Ifthe game does indeedget an English localization, then fans can expectYs Memoireto release on PS4/5 as well as Nintendo Switch, as the remaster was ported to Sony’s home consoles in Japan earlier this year. A PC release is possible as well, but an Xbox port is unlikely, as theYsseries has almost always skipped the platform.
