Duelist attacking a dummy in Salt and Sacrifice

Some of theseclasses are easier to master than others, and therefore it’s good to know what the starting weapons of each class are, as well as what can be expected of a player when trying them out. With each class specializing in different attributes as well as being catered to a specific play style, players are sure to find the class that best fits them.

8Duelist

Duelists are expert swordsmen, skilled in fast-paced melee combat, they are a class made for players that enjoyed hitting the enemy before they can retaliate. Most of their combat caters towards being up-close however, due to starting with a crossbow, Duelists do have the capability to attack from a longer range.

The issue with this nimble class is that it doesn’t leave much for defense. Beginning equipped with the Fencer’s Vest which gives 11 physical defense is adecent starting armorbut still leaves a risk of injury. Payers may struggle to master the dodges required to keep the Duelist alive, and therefore other classes would be a better choice.

Assassin class attacking a dummy in Salt and Sacrifice

Starting Weapons

7Assassin

Like any rogue class, the assassin is quick and nimble in nature, allowing players to go in with fast attacks and deal a lot of damage. However, unlike your usual rogue, due to starting with throwing knives as well as their trusty dagger this allows players to avoid having to go straight into combat as they can attempt to pick off enemies from afar.

The downfall of the assassin is its lack of defense, starting with the Dalen Armor that gives 7 physical defense is quite a weak start for the assassin. This alongside their base level Vitality meansplayers risk dyingif they are not able to dodge attacks.

Highblade class in its inventory of Salt and Sacrifice

6Highblade

Similar to the Duelist and the Assassin, Highblade value a similar swiftness to hit enemies before getting hit back. However, due to starting with an extra point in their Vitality, Highblades get a mild boost to their hit points, allowing them to be treated as a far more offensive unit without the risk of losing the battle.

Character Firing a Ranged Weapon In Salt And Sacrifice

When leveling the Highblade players will want to prioritize the stamina skill. This will make sure that the Highblade is able to dodge and parry continuously when taking on harder enemies, as well as keeping the title of one of the greatest offensive classes ofSalt and Sacrifice.

5Ranger

Players that prefer to prioritize attacking at a distance will enjoy playing as a Ranger. Equipped withboth long range and distant melee, Rangers have the versatility to do everything without the risk of taking damage.

As one of the more well-rounded starts to the game with all but one attribute starting at 5, players with experience inSalt and Sacrificewill be able to transform the Ranger into anything that suits their needs. However, the class itself can be difficult to master, and therefore players new to the Ranger may wish to focus on learning its mechanics first.

Sage class attacking enemies to the left in Salt and Sacrifice

4Sage

The Sage is amagic-based fighterthat has a wide-range of spells to use against their enemies, as well as channeling this energy through the Staves it is equipped with. Players looking for a spell-oriented character should look no further than the power of the Sage when considering what class to start with.

Granted, starting as the Sage can be quite a challenge as their skill in magic is not quite yet revealed. Learning this class will take time, but once a player has discovered the ins and outs of what it means to be a wizard fueled by spiritual energy, players will reveal the true purpose of the Sage.

Fighter talking to an NPC in Salt And Sacrifice

3Fighter

Many fans would argue that, similar to the Ranger, the Fighter doesn’t have much that makes it shine into something that is worth it’s high ranking in the list. However, it’s overall base attribute all around along with its high defense makes the Fighter not only agreat beginner classbut also a great starting point for players that wish to create their own play style.

A Paladin Performing An Uppercut In Salt And Sacrifice

Beginning with similar versatility but a more tank-like play style. Players starting their journey as the fighter are more likely to enjoy combat that is easier to get the hang of, especially as this extra defense will come in handy when struggling to dodge out the way of hits.

2Paladin

Even slower than the Fighter, but with even better defense, players that are truly committed to the tank lifestyle will want to choose the Paladin as their go-to class. Confirmed to be able to take a hit when the going gets tough during combat, the Paladin may be the slowest in Salt and Sacrifice, but it is arguably also the most powerful.

Paladins can be quite a challenge to learn, especially with their own set-backs to do with the maneuverability. Once players have mastered this, the Paladin along with its buffs can cause some serious damage to even the deadliest of bosses.

Cleric looking in their menu of Salt And Sacrifice

1Cleric

An even more beginner-friendly class, the Cleric is sure to win the hearts of many fans of the Salt and Sacrifice franchise through its simple-to-understand combat, allowing players to face enemies up close and at a distance with ease.

The real shining light of the Cleric is the blessing of, a healing ability that allows players to pursue risky combat without the fear of dying. This means that players can really push to see how far they can take the class, as arguably the Cleric does have one of the weaker starts that gradually becomes more rewardingas the player levels.
