The martial-arts style action rouge-likeSifufrom developer Sloclap has garnered praise after its release earlier this month. Its unique mechanic of aging the player exponentially after death has impressed many gamers and helped it become a smash hit. About500,000 players were playingSifuconcurrently at launch, many enjoying the challenge of the kung-fu based combat and powerful bosses, complete with a narrative that is dictated by the player’s actions. The game launched with a few different editions, which granted certain perks and rewards for certain players.
For example,Sifu’s physical version, dubbed the “Vengeance Edition” will be offering plenty of bonus content asides from a physical disc. This includes a digital soundtrack, a 48-page art book, and steel book case with a special jacket cover. In comparison, the digital Deluxe edition ofSifugave players a digital soundtrack and art book, along with early access to the game. Developer Sloclap announced that players who had ordered the Deluxe edition ofSifuwill be receiving a special gift.

The game ran into unexpected problems during its launch, whereSifuwas unable to be downloaded from the PSN Storefor a short while. While this issue has been resolved, this was problematic for early access players who had paid for the Deluxe edition. Many players lost a chunk of the early access window due to this issue, to which the developer promised that it would be making it up for those who were affected. On the game’s Twitter page, it announced that fans who bought the Deluxe edition ofSifuwill be receiving an exclusive cosmetic outfit.
The deluxe edition outfit hasn’t been revealed yet, though the developer noted that will be coming soon. This is scheduled to be added in early May, which will coincides with the first majorupdate toSifu. More information about this update and outfit will be given to fans at a later date as well.
The developers ofSifualso reveal that the team behind the game will be adding more outfits much later in future updates. The post asks fans to share their own ideas of what kinda skins should be added to the game. It notes there’s no guarantee for their ideas to make it into the game, but the team will be looking at the propositions. Fans have already submitted some fitting choices as skins, such as Marvel’sDaredevil,Shang-Chi, or even Son Goku fromDragon Ball.
