Summary
Starfieldofficially releases to the general public today, September 6, and a modder has already added a feature that will benefit a large group of gamers, but there is a catch. The mod forStarfieldenables DLSS 3 support, which means Nvidia GPU users can get improved performance even though AMD and Bethesda have only implemented support for AMD’s own FSR 3 upscaling technology.
Bethesda and AMD have partnered to bring the latest and greatest graphical technologies toStarfield, a space action RPG that is beingtouted as the nextSkyrim. The game comes with support for AMD FreeSync, FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), and more. AMD states FSR 3 can significantly improve FPS and in some cases get double the frame rate. Notably,Starfieldonly supports FSR 2 at launch.
