A Reddit user named j_cavs posted one screenshot of their take on Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter on theStarfieldsubreddit. Classified as a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class Light Interceptor, the iconic red and white Jedi Starfighter used by Obi-Wan Kenobi made its on-screen debut inAttack of the Clones. A prototype model of the Delta-7 that had a built-in hyperdrive was piloted by fellow Jedi Council member Adi Gallia inthe 2002 gameStar Wars: Jedi Starfighter. InAttack of the Clones, the Delta-7 was just elusive enough to evade seismic charges from Jango Fett’s “Slave 1” in an asteroid field dogfight that took place near Geonosis.
With the weapons and landing gear on the hull’s underside and a cockpit located above the rear thrusters, the Delta-7 looks like a smaller version ofwhat would become the Imperial Star Destroyer. The Delta-7 was replaced by the Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor inRevenge of the Sith. For their attention to detail, j_cavs received nearly 800 upvotes on theStarfieldsubreddit in half a day. While some users stated that some parts of the ship’s hull clipped through others, the OP stated that it was due to a glitch they took advantage of during the ship’s assembly.
Though the Delta-7 was never amongthe most powerfulStar WarsStarfighters, the fact that it is remembered by fans is a testament to its design. Only time will tell how many more ships from a galaxy far, far away will be recreated inStarfield.
Starfieldis available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
