TheSuicide Squad ISEKAIanime confirmed a 2024 release window in December 2023 when the main cast was announced, with more characters being revealed at the AnimeJapan event held in March. Prior to the event, the series' third trailer revealed that the series would debut in the Summer 2024 anime season, more specifically, in July, with this most recent announcement confirming thatSuicide Squad ISEKAIwill premiere on Japanese TV on July 5 at 24:30 (so July 6 at 00:30).

As you’d expect,Suicide Squad ISEKAIgives the known premise of DC’sSuicide Squadthe infamous isekai treatment, putting familiar characters into an alternate world scenario which in this case, isa fantasy world of orcs and magic. Like in the original concept, the head of A.R.G.U.S., Amanda Waller, voiced by Kujira (Orochimaru,Naruto), assembles a group of notorious criminals for the sake of a certain dangerous mission, guaranteeing their cooperation through explosives implanted in their necks. Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark must help a certain otherworldly empire achieve peace if they are to have any chance of returning alive from this fantastical realm where dragons rule the skies.
