Updated February 14th, 2022 by Russ Boswell: Terraria continues to be one of the best indie releases ever made, many years after its initial release. Although the final patch for the title has come and gone, players are still logging into the hit side-scroller every day, creating new worlds, building extravagant bases, and battling bosses. The 1.4.3 patch did introduce some new bosses for those that have been away from the game for some time and one of the most interesting is theDeerclops. This Don’t Starve Together crossover boss is imposing and drops some pretty unique items. To better show playershow to summon Deerclops in Terraria, the following guide has been updated.

How to Summon Deerclops in Terraria 1.4.3
To get right to it, players that want to spawn thisnew boss inTerrariamust first craft a Deer Thing by combining three Flinx Fur, one Lens, and either five Crimtane Ore or five Demonite Ore at an Altar. These material requirements are farily easy to fulfill, allowing fans to summon Deerclops quite early in pre-hardmode. In fact, fans can fight Deerclops before they even slay the Eater of Worlds, though the battle may be a bit difficult at that point in the game.

With the Deer Thing crafted, players should simply head to asnow biome inTerrariaand use the summoning item to call forth the Deerclops. When it spawns, there will be a short period where it is invulnerable, and fans will need to dodge the Deerclops’s various attacks until it can be targeted. For those players that are curious, this boss has three unique attacks: one that creates a wave of ice spikes on the ground, another that shoots snowballs into the air, and a final one that summons nightmare hands.
