Unlike theCall of Dutyfranchise, which has no distinct theme for each of its Seasons, Blizzard has embraced the concept of battle passes crafted entirely around a single topic. The inaugural season ofOverwatch 2had a cyberpunk theme, for example, while the following two seasons examined Greek andAsian mythology. After two seasons with a mythological focus, fans are hoping Season 4 will be very different, and thanks to a recent survey they may have an idea of what to expect.
Though it is unclear if the potential themes listed in a recentOverwatch 2survey will be used as early as Season 4, they could certainly become a reality further down the road. Though all leaks should obviously be taken with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to surveys since there is no guarantee that even the most popular choices will result in any actual content, there are some truly special options included on the list.

Overwatch 2’s Strongest Battle Pass Options
When looking at the lineup posted by MementoMori04, a few of the options on the list will likely stand out. It is hard to imagine a cat theme doing poorly, as Black Cat D.Va proved to be a very popular cosmetic. Similarly, givenOverwatch 2’s decision to embrace collaborationsand the shared traits between certain heroes and Marvel/DC characters, the superheroes theme would do well. However, these are not the only stellar choices that were available to survey takers.
Overwatch 2Academia is an interesting concept, as it would allow for players to see what their favorite heroes looked like at school. Once again D.Va served as a blueprint for this concept, with the love for her Academy skin guaranteeing that players would be interested in school attire for more members of the roster. Outside of putting Tracer or Kiriko in a uniform, older characters like Ana andSoldier 76could work as staff members, with the former being a librarian and the latter being a gym teacher.
Mirror Universe is something that players have discussed for some time, as many have been interested in the idea of alternate universe versions of their favorite characters. A twisted, evil version of Mercy could be a lot of fun, as would a take on Moira that turns her into a hero instead of a villain. Players could see a cyborg version of Cassidy, a take onJunker Queenthat makes her cleanlier and more like traditional royalty, and more. If each of these skins had unique voiceines to match the alternate universe characters’ new personalities, they would be even more special.
Zombie apocalypse skins could be fun, featuring torn clothing and bandaged characters, though with a T rating Blizzard would not be able to get gorey enough to go all-in on the concept. As such, there are better options on the table, like Dinosaurs/Prehistoric. Not only would Junker Queen make a great cavewoman, but any of theOmnic heroescould easily be turned into dinosaurs. Triceratops Orisa makes a lot of sense, while Ramattra’s small arms in Nemesis form would make him a perfect T-Rex.
Realistically, most options on the survey could work, as there are only a few strange ones like Cars that are listed.Egyptian Mythologyis worth exploring further when enough time has passed, and Zenyatta’s Cultist outfit has shown that a Cthulhu focus has potential.Alice in Wonderlandcould be great, with Junkrat becoming the Mad Hatter. The 7 Deadly Sins and Tarot themes would be some truly unique concepts as well, ensuring that it will be hard for Blizzard to go wrong when picking from the options on this leaked survey.
Overwatch 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
