At the endof the fourth chapterofThe Callisto Protocol, Jacob and Elias run into a setback when Captain Ferris shows up and vents the airlock. As a change of pace, players will be spending most of the fifth chapter roaming around outside in the frozen wasteland of Callisto. Unfortunately, the Biophage outbreak has spread even outside of Black Iron Prison.

While this next chapter certainly provides a drastic change of scenery, there aren’t a lot of new things for players to learn or watch out for. So here is what players can expect to encounter in the fifth chapter ofThe Callisto Protocol, Lost.

Find Elias

After the opening cutscene ends,Callisto Protocolplayers will need to move forward through the storm. The only thing to worry about in this section is a single Biophage that is roaming around in the storm. Shortly after the chapter begins, Jacob will get a transmission from Elias calling for help. Unfortunately, by the time players reach Elias it is too late for him.

During the next cutscene, Dani shows up and takes the CORE implant from Elias' body. With no alternatives available, Jacob’s only option is to keep moving toward the hangar. Proceed onward and find shelter in a nearby building that has a Reforge station in it.

Onward to the Hangar

AsCallisto Protocolplayers progress through the area, they will need to keep an eye out for frozen bodies. While most are dead, some are Biophages lying in waitto ambush players. Either use a gun or kill them with the Stun Baton, and then move on. Just past the broken bridge is an open space. There are explosives littered all over the area, so players will want to be mindful of where they are standing.

In this area, players will heara trapped worker calling for help. Shortly after this, players will be swarmed by Biophages. Use the explosives to save some ammo, but be mindful of how close the Biophages are to avoid taking splash damage from the explosion. Once all the Biophages have been cleared out, look for a door with a Biophage looking through the window. Kill it, and then look down to see the body of the worker. Take his CORE implant, as it will unlock a nearby door.

Follow the Signs

In the ruined tunnels beyond the door, players will find arrows and messages on the walls that are giving directions. These instructions will help directCallisto Protocolplayers toward the hangar, and are useful for navigating if lost. This area is a series of narrow corridors, and the only thing that players need to worry about isa new type of Biophagecalled Combustors. These slow moving Biophages explode when they get close enough, so make sure to shoot them before they get too close.

Help Dani

The path forward is very linear, so it won’t take long for players to arrive at a door labeled Garage Airlock N107. After cycling through the airlock, players will enter the garage where Dani is fending off Biophages. Help her kill them and then go up the stairs to have a tense discussion. Jacob and Dani are not friends, but they decide to put their differences aside to try and get off of Callisto. Dani gives Jacob the Riot Shotgun, which will make it much easier to take down tougher Biophages and is a muchbetter weapon than the Skunk Gun.

Open the Gate

In order to reach the vehicle outside, players will need to activate two consoles. The first is on the second floor of the garage, and the second one is in the Power Station. In the same room with the first switch, there is a door that leads to the Power Station. OnceCallisto Protocolplayers arrive, their objective will be to simply explore the Power Station. Look around for a guard stuck in the machinery, and take his CORE implant.

At this point, lots of Biophages will enter the room and attack. Keep an eye out for anyBiophages that start mutating. Players should be very careful with their positioning as there are environmental hazards all over the place. If players get too close to one of the machines they will be instantly killed. After the Biophages are all dead, go up the stairs and enter the control room. Activate the console and the gate outside will open.

Go Outside

After opening the gate, turn left and go down the stairs toward the airlock. Another pre-recorded message from the Warden will play. Outside the airlock, players will see a large group of frozen bodies ahead. There are several biophages hiding among the corpses, so move carefully to avoid getting overwhelmed. After passing through the enemies, Dani will pull up with the vehicle. Go inside and she will start driving.

Detour

Without warning, Dani decides to move away from the Hangar and go in a different direction. She parks right next to the ruins of Jacob’s ship. Follow Dani as she goes down toward the cargo hold just like she didin the first chapter. Dani doesn’t find what she was looking for, and the scene jumps to the duo arriving at the Hangar.

The Warden Intervenes

Inside the Hangar, look around for supplies before getting on the Elevator. Dani will call down the ship that is in orbit, but as it gets closer the Warden appears and destroys the ship with artillery. The impact of the ship crashing sends Jacob and Dani falling off the side.

This starts another sequence whereCallisto Protocolplayers have to dodge debris and go through holes in the building. Keep an eye out for rails near the end. When prompted, press the button to grab onto a rail and the fifth chapter will come to a close.
