Players will gain access to the Missing Baby Rattle side quest once they have obtained the Clawshot from Lanayru Desert’s Silent Realm. It’s one of the shortest side quests inThe Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HDand can be completed in a matter of minutes. Despite its short length, however, it can still be a little tricky, as players will need to make a fairly difficult jump in order to get their hands on the item that they need.

As with most ofthe other side quests in the game, Link will be rewarded with five Gratitude Crystals upon its completion, which can then be taken to Batreaux for some incredibly useful rewards. Assuming players are completing side quests as soon as they become available, they should have just about enough crystals to get their hands on the Giant Wallet(which can hold up to 5,000 Rupees), so it’s definitely worth their time.

How To Start The Missing Baby Rattle Side Quest
Players can start the Missing Baby Rattle side quest at any pointafter unlocking the Clawshot. They’ll need to make their way back to Skyloft if they’re not already there and thenhead over to Bertie and Luv’s house on the east side of the island. The quest can only be initiated at nighttime, so, if needed, players shouldsleep until nightin one of the house’s two beds.
They’ll wake to find an exhausted Bertie trying in vain to get his baby to go to sleep. He’ll explain that a bird flew away with the baby’s favorite rattle a few days ago and that neither he nor the baby has slept much since. Naturally, it’s up to Link to save the day andfind the baby’s rattle, so players shouldsleep until morningand thenhead outsideto begin tracking it down.

Where To Find The Missing Baby Rattle
The baby rattle is up in a bird’s neston top of the windmillby Kukiel’s house, but players won’t be able to get up there by conventional means. Instead, they’ll need tohead over towards the waterfall caveandlook for a floating islandabove them in the west. Byusing the Clawshot, Link cangrapple onto the vines on the side of the islandand, from there, he’ll be able tolatch onto the ones on the larger island with the waterfallover to the right.
Once on top of the larger island, players will need tohead over to the far side near the chest. It’s not a requirement for the quest, but players can use the Goddess' Harp near the butterflies here to make a Gossip Stone pop out of the ground. As well as giving Link a rare upgrade component, the stone will also suggestjumping down to the nest from that spot, so that’s exactly what players should do.

Providing playersdon’t try to move too quickly while Link is in the air, they shouldn’t need more than one or two attempts to land in the nest. The rattle will be clearly visible beneath them, but before players can pick it up, they’ll first need touse the Gust Bellows to blast away some of the dust. Once that’s taken care of, they cangrab the rattle, jump down, and thenhead back over to Bertie and Luv’s houseto collect their reward.
Before players can get their hands on their reward, they’ll first need to hop into one of the beds andsleep until night. Link can nowreturn the baby’s rattleand the baby will fall asleep almost instantly. Bertie, who looks like he hasn’t slept in almost a week, is so relieved that he hands Linkfive Shiny Gratitude crystals; bringing the Missing Baby Rattle side quest to a satisfying conclusion for all involved.
