Gearbox Software and 2K Games have confirmed thatTiny Tina’s Wonderlandswill launch this month with full crossplay support for all platforms including PlayStation. In a tweet from the officialaccount of Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford, he confirmed thatTiny Tina’s Wonderlandswillsupport full crossplay for all platforms at launch including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.RELATED:Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Details Chaos Chamber Endgame ContentTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis a spin-off from the mainBorderlandsseries and is a successor to theBorderlands 2DLCTiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. Despite the story being tightly under wraps, players can expect to play a similar style narrative as previousBorderlandstitles. Tiny Tina will act as a Dungeon Master and narrator for a tabletop RPG called “Bunkers and Badasses” just as she did inAssault on Dragon Keep. Players will control the characters ofWonderlandsas they loot and shoot through a fantasy adventure. The addition of crossplay for the PlayStation will be a welcome addition to players on the platform as it was not supported inBorderlands 3.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandswill see many returning characters from the core series including the titular and ever so slightly insaneTiny Tina, Mr. Torgue, and Butt Stallion. The new entry in the franchise will also boast some impressive new and returning voice talent with Ashly Burch reprising her role as Tiny Tina and new additions in Andy Samburg, Will Arnett, and Wanda Sykes.

Randy Pitchford claims that the concept has been in development for 10 years, so players can expect a fully fleshed-out world despite its status as a spin-off. Gearbox recently releasedAssault on Dragon Keepas a standalone game calling it “A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure” clearly to introduce the Wonderlands world to players who had not previously experiencedtheBorderlands 2DLCand to build up a potential player base forTiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

By the look of things,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis sure to appease fans of the original DLC. Being heavily inspired bytabletop RPGs such asDungeons and Dragonsmay be in stark contrast to the more futuristic and sci-fi settings of traditionalBorderlandstitles, but this shows a willingness to progress and explore new areas for the franchise from Gearbox and 2K. The game will also use a new combat mechanic that will utilize magic instead of grenades.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandswill be released on March 25th, 2022 onPlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One,andXbox Series X/S,
