Visual Concepts and 2K Games releasedWWE 2K22last week and players continue to create unique wrestlers with the game’s creation tools, book their dream matches and events through GM Mode, and discover bugs and glitches. Just likeprevious WWE games, many of these bugs and glitches are strictly visual, but some are impacting gameplay like one spotted by popular Twitch streamer xQc.

During a recent Twitch stream, Felix “xQc” Lengyel was playing a one-versus-one match against another player inWWE 2K22, with xQc choosing Raul Mendoza and the latter wrestling as the iconic John Cena. Taking the match out of the ring to the ringside area, xQc cornered the enemy John Cena near the announcer’s table to gain a hilarious advantage. After punching and kicking John Cena multiple times, xQc’s character is retaliated against by the former WWE champion who is quickly stuck to a nearby barricade due to an unfortunately timed glitch.

While xQc is muted in theWWE 2K22clip going around, his enemy playing asJohn Cenavoices their displeasure about being cornered by smack talking and saying “you think you’re doing something?” prior to being stuck. Once John Cena’s leg is stuck in the barricade closest to the commentary team’s table, the player screams: “yo, nah! This isn’t… yo my leg, let me up!” TheWWE 2K22player and xQc both appropriately share a laugh at this momentary bug while the popular Twitch streamer continues his attack on the vulnerable Cena with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip.

A wrestler is typically tossed aside with a leg whip, but John Cena’s legs are snapped in opposite directions in the video ofxQcplayingWWE 2K22. The popular Twitch streamer didn’t utilize the temporary glitch during his match against John Cena to full effect as before the video concludes, xQc already let his opponent regain their footing. The viral clip ends before showing who comes out victorious, but it’s likely that xQc would’ve easily won the match against John Cena if theWWE 2K22bug had remained for the rest of the fight

WWE 2K22is far from the first WWE game to have glitches like this John Cena one as the last wrestling title from 2K Games,WWE 2K20, was rife with glitches like these. Some fans have pointed out that a glitch like the one highlighted by xQc was more common in previous installments in the series which may suggest that some lingering issues from prior games still remain inWWE 2K22. BecauseWWE 2K22was released recently, Visual Concepts and 2K Games may be looking at fan feedback and clips like the one from xQc’s Twitch to improve the game in an upcoming update, but it remains to be seen if this glitch has been noticed by the developer.

WWE 2K22is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
