The news of the upcomingVampire Survivorsexpansion arrived on the same day that the game’sversion 1.8 update,titled The Deeplorable Update, was released on Xbox and PC. The update gave Vampire Survivorsplayers a new Adventure Mode, with self-contained stories and remixed stages and context to give players something new to try. ThoughVampire Survivorsbecame a full release in late 2022, that has not stopped developer Luca Gallante and the team at Poncle from continuing to develop the game and release both free and paid content for the addicting bullet-hell title. While Adventure Mode and co-op have been nice surprises, the upcoming expansion was one that nobody saw coming.
Players will not have to wait too long for more content, asVampire Survivors: Emergency Meetingwill launch on Monday, December 18, on PC and Xbox. The Switch and mobile versions ofVampire Survivorswill release both the Emergency Meeting DLC and The Deeplorable Update at later dates, which remained unknown at the time of writing. The expansion is the third overall forVampire Survivorsand will arrive nearly nine months aftertheTides of the Foscariexpansion. InVampire Survivors: Emergency Update, there will be nine characters fromAmong Usadded into the mix, including a Crewmate, Imposter, and Shapeshifter, to name a few. 15 new weapons will be made available for all characters to use on the Polus Replica map, which is a near one-to-one recreation of the lava-ridden map fromAmong Us.
When is the Vampire Survivors Among Us DLC Coming Out?
The Emergency Meeting DLC is far from the first crossover thatAmong Ushad in 2023. In late November,Among Usrevealed a new Cosmicube. This reward track included cosmetic prizes and references to various indie titles such asUndertale,Celeste,andUntitled Goose Game. The Cosmicube will remain available inAmong Usuntil July 15, 2025.
