Warframehas many different weapon types, giving players a lot of flexibility on how they want to play. It’s refreshing to be give a game that is so accepting of different playstyles and the amount of variance available means that the game loop overall doesn’t get too repetitive.

For a game based onspeedy ninja battles,Warframemelee weapons are usually based on fast styles, short swords and the like. However, sometimes players just don’t want to mess about and need to go into a mission ready to smash everything in their vicinity. On these occasions, it is advised players take a heavy blade. However, not all heavy blades are created equal with some being better than others.
6Zenistar
A flaming war axe makes players feel even more of a devastating presence while travelling around the Star Chart, which is one of Zenistar’s biggest strengths. It’s an undoubtedly cool weapon, that ironically deals Heat damage with a secondary attack that stacks with combo multiplier over time.
Uniquely, the Zenistar is acquired through the Daily Tribute system and once acquired it cannot be sold. Players will enjoy using this and it is by no means a bad weapon, but keep in mind that there are plenty of better heavy bladed choices out there. It is aWarframebeginner mistaketo stick to weapons that don’t hold up on higher-levelled missions, so this should be avoided where possible.

5Scindo Prime
While not the best heavy bladed weapon inWarframe, the Scindo Prime is a great choice for players who are in the mid-game, as it can deal some impressive damage. Being a Primed variant of the original Scindo, it has higher base stats across the board as is common for all Primed variants of weapons and is well worth using as one ofWarframe’sbest weapon types.

The Scindo Prime, like all Prime weapons, is acquired through completing Void Relic missions while using relics that have it as a reward. There will be multiple parts meaning it can take players some time to unlock this. It is absolutely worth it when it is unlocked.
4War
The War is not only a really strong heavy blade but a melee weapon that is firmly in the category of ‘above-average’. In lore, this weapon is used by the Shadow Stalker after he allies himself with Hunhow, the de facto ‘main villain’ ofWarframe. Pairing this weapon with one of theoriginalWarframesis advised for a nostalgic build for more veteran players of the game.
The War is made in the foundry, with the Broken War (which is obtained after completion of The Second Dream quest) being listed as a requirement. However, since the Broken War is a much better weapon than the War, and is near-impossible to obtain after players have gotten rid of it, it is advised that players keep hold of their Broken War and buy the War parts from other players.

3Galatine Prime
One of the earlier weapons in the game, the Galatine Prime is a primed variant of the original Galatine, being much better on base stats as is the case with nearly all Prime weapons. It has high damage and critical chance, and deals primarily Slash damage. It is even viable onWarframe’sSteel Path.

The Galatine Prime requires Mastery 13 to use and can be acquired by farming relics that list its parts as a reward in Void Relic missions. It may therefore take players some time to unlock it, but it is absolutely worth it when they do.
2Paracesis
The Paracesis is nearly almost the best heavy blade in the game, beaten only by the Gram Prime. It is Ballus' signature weapon and, unlike most weapons, can scale to rank 40, making it extra powerful. Once obtained it cannot be sold, and it should be paired withmust-useWarframemodsso that players can get the most out of it.
The Paracesis requires Mastery Rank 10 to use and can be acquired by completing the Chimera Prologue quest. The Chimera Porlogue quest is not so difficult to beat but players will need to progress a fair bit through the game to get there.

1Gram Prime
The Gram Prime is the Primed variant of the original Gram weapon and boasts being the best heavy bladed melee weapon in all ofWarframe. It has the highest offensive stats out of all heavy weapons but the slowest swing speed.
The Gram Prime requires Mastery Rank 14 to use and can be acquired by completing Void Relic missions and opening relics that list the Gram Prime’s parts as rewards. Alternatively, they canearn some platinumand simply buy it from other players. It may take some time but being the best heavy bladed weapon of the game it is absolutely worth it.

Warframewas released in 2013 and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox One Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch.
