Over a month after theCold Warintegration, players have had some time to experiment withthe newCold Warweapons, sights, and reticles. While mostCold Waroptics are understandably not as advanced and clean as theModern Warfaresights, there are a few that stand out as the best in the game.

AvidWarzoneplayers know that there are stilla number of issues with theCold Warattachments, including theCold Warsights. Raven has responded to the community, and players expect many of the attachment bugs to be resolved withthe other issues plaguing the gamebefore Season 2. Players should use the below attachments and reticles for their guns inWarzone, which are ranked from worst to best.
Updated on June 14th, 2021 by Payton Lott:In the past couple of months, Raven made a host of changes to all of the Cold War attachments, including many of the optics. All of the long-range sniper scopes now have glint, making them less effective in general. The medium-range optics have all been changed in the past few weeks, reducing their optical zoom noticeably. The Axial Arms 3x used to have 4x zoom for example.

As a result of all these changes, using a 3x or 4x as with a sniper is not really viable. Cold War snipers are in a weird place in Season Three, with the Kar98k being the obvious aggressive sniper and the HDR remaining the most accurate at longer ranges. The rankings have been adjusted to reflect all of Raven’s alterations.
17Noch Sova Thermal
Many of the thermal sights are just not practical inWarzone, even though theModern Warfarethermal sights are not usable anymore. Players should stay away from the thermal optics unless they are sniping at long range. The Noch Sova Thermal is only a 2.3x magnification optic and is a bottom-tier sight in the game.
16AN/PVS-4 Thermal
While the thermal sight is better than theModern Warfarethermal optics, it is essentially a gimmick. If a night mode returns to Verdansk or on a new map, the sight could be useful.

However, the optic takes up too much of the screen and its low magnification makes it difficult to use inWarzone. In Rebirth, it could have a niche role since few players still use Cold Blooded.
15SnapPoint
The SnapPoint is a sub-par red dot sight. It is usable, but the square shape of the sight makes it harder to identify enemies, and players can choose from a number of better optics. It is a bottom-tier sight given the option because of how manyCold Warred dot sights are in the game.
14Fastpoint Reflex
Players will notice that the Fastpoint Reflex looks almost identical to the monocle reflex sight fromModern Warfare. Some players may prefer the eccentric sight, but most are better off using a more traditional red dot optic.
13Kobra Red Dot
The Kobra Red Dot Optic is usable, but there are a few better close-range optics to choose from. The fact that the sight is mounted higher than several others makes it one of the worst close-range red dot sights.
12Diamondback Reflex
The Diamondback and the Kobra sight are similar optics to use in close-range situations. The sight can be used, but the below choices will be just a fraction better. The base of the sight provides enough of an obstruction and distraction to keep it toward the bottom of the list.
11Hawksmoor
Similar to the Sillix, the Hawksmoor optic is quite obstructing. There are far better options for players who would like to use a close to medium range optic. For most players, square optics just simply do not feel good in-game. The reticle itself is good, but the mount and frame make it troublesome to see though.
10Hangman RF
The Hangman RF is another sight that resembles the VLK fromModern Warfare, but with a 6x zoom. The sight is not cluttered with lines and will be a great optic for players that like to extend the ranges of tactical rifles.
Given the current state ofCold Warsnipers, it is much more common to see a stock scope instead of the Hangman RF. Players will want to either maximize velocity or speed, eliminating the need for an intermediate to long-range sight.

9Ultrazoom Custom
The Ultrazoom custom can zoom in up to 20x, but it now has sniper glint. The HDR or AX-50 are better suited for the long-range meta, and as a consequence, the extremely long-range optic is not preferable.
Also, at high zoom, the sight picture is very limited. Until we see a change in the viability of long-rangeCold Warweapons, sticking with a 4x makes more sense.

8Sillix Holoscout
The Sillix sight is bulky and square, obstructing players' field of view and making it more difficult to identify enemies. That being said, the holographic attachment is a solid choice for medium-range gunfights because it provides a higher zoom than a red dot.
There are several superior sights for close to mid-range encounters, and the Holoscout should only be used by those that need a replacement for aModern WarfareHolographic.
