Summary

The free-to-play multiplayer RPGWavenhas made quite an impression on fans of the genre, and one reason for this is due to the astonishing amount of playable characters featured in the game. Luckily, developers Ankama Games have streamlined the process by separating each character into a specific class, with each of the 5 classes being comprised of 5 characters. This makes it much easier to quickly jump to a character who fits a specific playstyle, but with that being said, some classes have proven to be much more effective on the battlefield than others. Players are still advised to experiment withthe colorful cast of charactersin the game to find one that they feel the most comfortable playing, but for those who want a quick leg-up from the get-go, these are the best classes to go with.

The Sacrier and Osamodas classes have also been announced to come out when the full game is released, so fans can look forward to even more weird and whacky characters once early access ends.

Eniripsa Class Koro Brush Characters

5Eniripsa

Heroes included in the Eniripsa class areprimarily healerswho focus on healing and buffing themselves and their allies, but they are also capable of dealing small pockets of damage. In fact, some of the Heroes, such as the Apostruker Scalpel, for example, can even gain a small attack buff after healing herself, so they’re definitely not the typical healing archetype that can’t deal any sort of damage and needs to hang back.

Still though, while they’re easy to play and have good survivability, their lack of sustainable damage, along with the selfish playstyle that a few of the Heroes must follow, can make them quite ineffective in some scenarios. Their Skill options are alsofairly underwhelming, which doesn’t make them very exciting to play compared to their competition. However, because of how well they can survive enemy attacks, it makes them quite a tricky class to pin down; just make sure to have a trusty companion since they are going to be the primary source of damage.

Xelor Class Wizard

4Xelor

The Xelor class is full ofweird and whacky time wizardswho excel at using a multitude of special abilities and techniques to take down their opponents, but this does mean they are heavily reliant on their Spells and Equipment to be at all effective. There’s a lot to play around with when it comes to the Xelor class due to how varied each of the Heroes are in their abilities, and many of them have such a wild range of varying Skills that it makes them extremely fun to experiment with.

Sram Hero Class In Waven

The Pikuxala Hand, for example, can buff their attack damageafter teleporting, making them more of a damage-focused mage class, they can also choose to reduce the cost of their teleportation, making them a whole lot more mobile. This is just one example of the many different routes a Xelor can take in terms of creating a build. If a Xelor Hero manages to get caught in enemy fire though, it won’t take more than a few hits for them to be taken down, and considering that they are so dependent on external buffs to keep them alive, they can be very risky and extremely situational.

3Sram

Picking a Sram Hero definitely isn’t advised for new players because of how tricky they can be to utilize effectively, but for anyone who is at least somewhat familiar with the core gameplay, they can be well worth pouring some hours into. They are very muchthe assassin archetypeof the game, so a lot of their Skills are focused on scaling their damage and boosting the effectiveness of traps and gear. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t quite go as far as it could have in regards to making them true assassins, leaving out abilities likebeing able to turn invisiblefor example which would have been a great addition.

Therefore, they will take quite a bit of strategic planning to be at their strongest, but a big bonus that comes with the Sram class is the sheer amount of variety that comes with the Heroes. For example, while Surokan Shiv is all about placing traps to catch enemies off guards, Ken Kartana is much more of a melee focused assassin who focuses on building up physical damage and unleashing it on unsuspecting opponents. At the end of the day, they’re going to be dealing a staggering amount of damage when used correctly, and are a very rewarding Class to stick with for the long term.

Cry Class Hero Blunderbust

2Cra

Cra Heroes are easy to understand, extremely fun to play, and incredibly powerful when sitting back and picking off enemies from afar. There are also a few characters within this class who are essentially designed to help ease players into the game’s mechanics, one of which is Buneblade who’s entire kit revolves around building up a strong deck which is an extremely important feature of the game.

There’s a nice mixture here of Heroes who are all about teaching the player how to play the game, and those who are more concerned with simply dishing out as much damage with each shot as possible. Because Cra Heroes are also almost always going to be out of the chaos of combat since they prefer lying low on the corners of the map, there’s also much less risk of them getting surrounded bya horde of enemieswhich is always a bonus. It also helps that these Heroes are great for both solo and team play, making them extremely versatile and great for players to focus on when just starting out.

1Iop

Not only does the Iop class have a great selection of Heroes to choose from, allowing players to play with their preferred playstyle, but they’re also the best units in the game when it comes to one-on-one melee combat. A lot of their Skills are stat buffs dedicated to improving the attack damage and range of an attack, making them very easy to understand andperfect for beginner playerswho want to make an impact as soon as they load into a game. However, there are a few who take advantage of the game’s other mechanics too such as the Flamboyant Kasai who is all about buffing his strength through elemental damage.

There are also plenty of opportunities to improve the AOE potential of attacks thanks to how many Skill options there are which really makes any of the Iop heroes a ton of fun to play, especially when playing the PVP mode. They may not have the highest scaling compared to most other classes, but they are still sure to pack a punch right from the start and are perfect for getting to grips with the game during those first few hours.
