Most of the weapons that players come across inStarfieldare random drops with stats and mods that vary wildly from playthrough to playthrough. However, there are some unique guns that every player will be able to get their hands on, either by completing certain side quests ormain story missionsor by visiting some of the game’s many weapon merchants.

The best weapons inStarfieldcan be incredibly useful as players venture through the universe, allowing them to cut down their enemies with elegance and ease. These guns and blades are also prime candidates for weapon modding, with many already having several mods installed when players first get their hands on them.

The Best Guns in Starfield (Video Showcase)

Fiscal Quarter (Rifle)

The Fiscal Quarter is a Rare rifle that players will get from Walter Stroud at the end of the All That Money Can Buy main story mission. Players will be able to trigger the quest by speaking with Walter at the Lodge after finishing Into the Unknown. To complete it, they’ll have to help him acquire the Artifact from Neon and then escort him safely back to their ship after sorting things out with Slayton.

Gallow’s Reach (Rifle)

During the No Sudden Moves main story mission, players will need to get their hands on Captain Petrov’s vault key. Once they’ve done so, rather than heading down to the vault as instructed, it’s possible to snoop around in Petrov’s quarters by heading through the door behind him. There, on the wall above acontraband safe, players will find the Gallow’s Reach Rare rifle, which is easily one of the BestStarfieldweapons for this stage of the game, at least when it comes to unique weapons, anyway.

Unrestrained Vengeance (Laser Rifle)

Players will receive Unrestrained Vengeance if they are able to down the Hunter duringthe High Price to Pay main story mission. To do so, they’ll simply need to deplete his health bar once so that he disappears. He’ll probably come back a little later on, but providing players can down him just once he’ll hand over the Rare laser rifle along with some credits once players return to their ship and take off.

Experiment A-7 (Shotgun)

Experiment A-7 is a Rare shotgun that players can get their hands on while investigating the distress signal from the Nishina Research Station duringthe Entangled main story mission. They’ll be given the weapon by a security guard named Ethan around halfway through the mission and should find it to be one of the best guns inStarfieldwhen it comes to dealing with aliens.

The Last Priest (Melee)

To get The Last Priest, players will need to completethe Infinity’s End side quest, which can only be triggered if players decide to side with the Hunter at the end of the Unearthed main story mission. Players will get the Rare melee weapon if they do what the Hunter asks them to or if they’re able to convince him that they did even when they didn’t.

Despondent Assassin (Rifle)

Players hoping to get their hands on the Despondent Assassin will need to completethe Leader of the Pack side quest, which is part of a questline triggered by speaking with an NPC named Davis Wilson in Akila City. After completing Defensive Measures, players will unlock False Positives before rounding out the questline with Leader of the Pack.

Memento Mori (Pistol)

Players can get the Memento Mori by completing the Burden of Proof side quest, which means finding at least 15 ofthe 20 pieces of evidence for Lieutenant Toft. After doing so, they’ll need to keep talking to her until she hands over the Legendary pistol. Those hoping to get their hands on it should be sure to do so before beginning the Legacy’s End side quest.

Revenant (Rifle)

Players will be able to find the Revenant beside the transfer module lock duringthe Eye of the Storm side quest. Like several of the other uniqueStarfieldweapons, this Legendary rifle is missable, so players should be sure to keep an eye out for it when faced with the Locate the Vault Control Center objective. It’s one of the best weapons inStarfield, so players definitely won’t want to miss it.

Eternity’s Gate (Particle Beam Rifle)

Eternity’s Gate is a Legendary particle beam rifle. It’s arguably the best weapon inStarfield, not to mention one of the most valuable guns in the game. Players will get the weapon after defeating the Emissary at the Buried Temple, which they’ll only be able to do if theychoose to side with the Hunter during the Unearthed main story mission, or no one.

Unmitigated Violence (Laser Rifle)

Unmitigated Violence is the Hunter’s main weapon, so it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to learn that it’s one of the best guns inStarfield. Players can get the Legendary laser rifle bykilling the Hunter at the Buried Temple, which isn’t an option if players choose to side with him at the end of the Unearthed main story mission. As such, those who want to get their hands on his gun should either choose the Emissary or nobody.
