Although faced with a plague of evil, bloodthirsty demons, the cast ofDemon Slayeris surprisingly filled with hope and optimism. The characters are filled with cheerful faces and charming personalities despite their dire situation. Whether it be Tanjiro’s bright smile or Zenitsu’s cowardly (yet endearing) whining, the cast is filled with personality that gives each character their unique look and feel.

Season Two has finally been released, complete with arecap of the Mugen Train arcfor the fans that have yet to see the film. This new season allows new characters (good and bad) to take have their well-deserved time in the spotlight, and it would be a shame to leave them out of the fun when matching the cast up with each sign of the Zodiac. In order to keep the list fresh and up to date with the newest faces seen in the series, here is an updated list of eachDemon Slayercharacter and the Zodiac sign they suit the most.
12Aquarius: Giyu Tomioka
The Aquarius is known to be progressive, independent, and a strong humanitarian.Water Hashira, Giyu, is a perfect example of a typical Aquarius. Not only does Giyu exhibit an Aquarius' strengths, but also its weaknesses. While the Aquarius is known for being devoted to fighting for a cause they believe in, they are also known to avoid emotional expression and can be rather aloof at times; which isn’t a far cry from the quiet yet powerful Giyu.
The similarities don’t stop there as the Aquarius is known to have the ability to see people without prejudice which is a great explanation to why Giyu decided to spare the kind-hearted Nezuko, despite her turning into a demon.
11Pisces: Shinobu Kocho
Shinobu is a compassionate, gentle soul that has the tendency to use her idealistic goals as a means of escaping reality and couldn’t be a better embodiment of a typical Pisces. For Shinobu, she uses the guise of a bright and cheery demeanor when aiding others in need in order to escape the worries she keeps deep down. BothShinobu and the Pisces are friendly, generous peoplethat love helping others without expecting much in return.
While she does don a bit of a facade, it is clear that Shinobu still wishes to genuinely feel happy once again. Sadly, both parties are often haunted by a woeful past and can often fall victim to harsh situations they find themselves in. Much like theresilient Insect Hashira, Shinobu, the Pisces is led by their senses and use their incredible bond with both people and nature to guide them to success.
10Aries: Kyojuro Rengoku
The Aries is known to be a handful; a courageous person that is overly enthusiastic, passionate, and very optimistic. Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, is a fantastic example of the perfect Aries. While very determined to take on a leading role ortest oneself in a physical challenge, both Aries and Kyojuro can be rather aggressively impulsive at times as well.
Both parties are confident individuals and truly dislike situations in which talent or skill cannot be honed or put to good use. Aries are known to be very determined and dutiful people, much like how Rengoku took pride in keeping the philosophy of protecting those that are weaker than himself; a belief he inherited from his wise mother.
Overall, the Flame Hashira, for his strengths and his weaknesses, is a perfect embodiment of the controlled and calculated chaos of an Aries.
9Taurus: Sabito
Although audiences had sucha small amount of time to get to know Sabito, it’s clear that he had a powerful impact both on fans and on Tanjiro’s journey. Sabito was a kind soul that was practical and devoted his time to ensuring Tanjiro was truly ready for his final test.
Although Sabito’s only real concern was training Tanjiro well enough to ensure his survival, his method of training was somewhat tough, uncompromising, and fairly stubborn. However, it is the Taurus' stubbornness that turns into a fierce commitment that grants them the ability to achieve any task they put their mind to; in Sabito’s case, it was his goal of ensuring Tanjiro’s success.
All of Sabito’s characteristics paint a perfect picture of the typical “tough love” Taurus.
8Gemini: Tanjiro Kamado
The Gemini is often nervous and has trouble with making important decisions, but they can be gentle and affectionate as well! Who better to have the role of the anxious yet kind-hearted Gemini than protagonist Tanjiro himself? Tanjiro encompasses the Gemini’s expressiveness and ability to flip a switch to go from cheery and playful to serious and thoughtful.
When it comes to spending a relaxing day to recover with Zenitsu and baby sister, Nezuko,Tanjiro is light-hearted and talkative. However, once a bloodthirsty demon shows up, threatening him and his loved ones, suddenly that cheerful side of him fades away and this gentle soul becomes a dangerous threat.
7Cancer: Zenitsu Agatsuma
Poor Zenitsu perfectly captures the Cancer’s weaker traits as both are commonly moody, pessimistic, and often underestimate their own abilities. However, while both can be needlessly suspicious individuals with a profound amount of anxiety, luckily both have their plethora of positives as well!

The Cancer,despite their downfalls, are loyal individuals that are in touch with their emotions and can be very kind and sympathetic. Zenitsu (and the Cancer) is incredibly hesitant of his path in life and has a great appreciation for more simple things in life, like a chat or lunch with friends.
While Zenitsu and the Cancer can be a ball of insecure anxiety at times, when the situation becomes dire, they brave their fears in the name of their loved ones.
6Leo: Nezuko Kamado
Although little is known about Nezuko’s personality before she had turned into a demon, she still manages to show off how big of a heart she has despite her transformation. Much like the Leo, Nezuko is a warm and cheerful person that loves being close to and spending time with those she cares deeply about.
Leos are also known to be incredibly difficult to resist, which definitely explains whyNezuko remains a big fan favorite, despite her having little to no spoken lines! However, Nezuko also shares a few weaknesses with the Leo as well, such as being ignored. So long as Tanjiro and the others don’t neglect little Nezuko, then everyone will be happy.
5Virgo: Akaza
While it may be true that Akaza as the audience first meets him, is a definite antagonist, but after a look into the tragedy of his human life, it’s apparent that there’s much more to him than meets the eye. Akaza is a demon that holds the position of “Upper Rank Three” but was once known as a human named Hakuji.
Akaza, even as a demon, holds many notable Virgo-like traits. Virgos are known to be very loyal, analytical, and practical; they’re also often known to have an “all work no play” kind of attitude toward the crafts they choose to hone.
Akaza values strength and combat very highly and to assess each opponent he faces, he utilizes his Virgo-like ability to accurately analyze each and every move. While the demon version of him shows off his systematic thought processes, the link to his past as Hakuji is where his bold sense of loyalty lies.
Many of thewoes of Akaza’s paststem from his unwavering loyalty to those he loved, namely his ill father, his fiance, Koyuki, and his teacher, Keizo. Akaza ultimately allowed himself to suffer many physical and mental traumas in the name of helping those he held dear.
4Libra: Mitsuri Kanroji
Typically, Libras are very kind, gracious, and cooperative people. Mitsuri,the Love Hashira, is a perfect fit for this sign, as the Libra is the kind of person to embrace harmony, justice, and peace. The typical Libra and Mitsuri both tend to be gentle people that do everything in their power to avoid any violent conflicts.

To the Libra, partnerships are very important and it’s clear that as the Love Hashira, Mitsuri shares this particular value in life. Her bond with the other Hashira (especially Obanai) is important to both her well-being and her strength.
Peacekeeper Mitsuri, is also known to give constant praise to others (even in the form of a quiet though she keeps to herself), which is very akin to the Libra’s tendency to be kind and not critical of others, but instead on themselves.
3Scorpio: Inosuke Hashibira
Scorpios are a perfect embodiment of thechaotic, yet trustworthy, Inosuke. While Inosuke can be a bit violent and have a hard time trusting others, Tanjiro made sure to be able to find the good deep inside him.
Behind that tough exterior, Inosuke and the Scorpio are passionate people that are loyal and trustworthy to the chosen few that they’ve deemed good friends. The loud and stubborn Inosuke may put up a tough and manly front, but every time he’s met with genuine compliments from Tanjiro or others, he can’t seem to hide his blushing appreciation (even with the mask on!). After a bit of digging, Inosuke is a good friend that one can rely on in times of need.
Overall, Scorpios are known to be highly energetic, brave, strong individuals; and this pig-faced demon hunter couldn’t be a better fit!
