However, now that players have had a few days to reachthe newWoW ClassicSeason of Discovery level capand experience the Blood Moon, they are seeing just how dangerous the event is. AnthonyKO was one such fan, who discovered that more than just players became hostile to each other under the Blood Moon. While visiting Booty Bay during the event, they found that Gyll, the Alliance Flight Master, was hostile, meaning they couldn’t fly away from the zone to reach safety while it was active. They shared their findings on theClassic WoWReddit as a warning to their fellow fans who dare tread in Stranglethorn Vale during the event.
Flight Paths are Hostile During WoW SoD’s PvP Event
The Blood Moon event takes place for 30 minutes once every three hours. During theWorld of Warcraft Classicevent, all characters are flagged as hostile to one another – even among the same faction. Characters can gain stacks of the Blood for the Blood Loa buff by killing monsters and players, but lose some stacks upon death. The buff stacks can be converted into Blood Coins by approaching a blood altar, which can then be exchanged for powerful gear and unique mounts.
Fans may not be able to escape The Blood Moon via Flight Masters, but they can still use Zeppelins and Ships to safely leave the area and continue theirleveling journey inWoW ClassicSeason of Discovery. Additionally, players who want to opt out of the event can do so by speaking with the Zandalarian Emissary at Grom’Gol Base Camp or the northern entrance to the zone – though they will lose all stacks of Blood for the Blood Loa they may have by doing so.
