Mark Rubin on Twitter confirmed that a quick patch forXDefianton PlayStation 5 has now been released, which should alleviate issues for players running the game at 60hz who had previously experienced large frame spikes. It isn’t clear at the moment if this issue is also affecting users on other versions of the game, although this patch is currently exclusive to PlayStation 5, where players can’t change theirXDefiantsettingsin the way that PC players can.

Rubin did also confirm that even after the recent patch, thisXDefiantissuestill isn’t fully fixed, so frame spikes should still be expected even now. However, he did confirm that a full fix for both 60hz and 120hz players on PlayStation 5 is coming next week, in his words, “as soon as we can get it through testing and cert.” While the problem may not be fixed yet, it’s good to hear that the solution is now just around the corner.
